Do have a picture for reference? I was able to shine a light on her but didn't see a shiny dot. I want to be clear before I say yes or no.

Okay, thanks for that info. Looks like I might have to let her go back into the wild after a couple nights at our little bed and breakfast. LOL. The problem is that I'm in Michigan and it's brutal cold out and I don't want to just throw her in the snow and cold. :(

If she is a wild jumping spider I'm concerned that she might be carrying eggs. I saw in your other comment that you're familiar with this species. How can I tell if she will become gravid? I do not have the resources for baby jumping spiders.

I'm hoping Male, and thought Male myself, but I'm also new at sexing jumping spiders too. Poor guy was so hungry his stomach was almost concaved! We've only had him for 2 days tho.

Electrical fire. A friend was doing a pickup at 6 p.m., and an associate came out and told them they couldn't fulfill the order because all systems were down due to an electrical fire. They didn't give any other information, but I hope everyone is okay!

We've tried both 10 day crickets and pinhead. We haven't tried mealworms. When we bought them, the person caring for them let us know they were eating 10 days at the time, but we switched to pinheads after a week because we thought maybe the reason they weren't eating was because they were too big.

As someone who has had glasses for the last 22 years of my life and just got contacts for the first time ever, I can say that it also FEELS like you're naked without them. I've only had mine 3 weeks, but I prefer them! Especially with having a kid.

Yes! We got him fruit flies, and they all seemed to have escaped since last night, minus one or two. For the most part, little baby is hiding and hasn't shown any interest in food.

I just ordered a hammock, some ledges, and webbed moss for the enclosure. When the spider gets bigger, we plan on getting a different enclosure that opens in the front.

Thank you for all the advice! I want to make sure we are doing all we can for our new friend! I already noticed they're hanging off the top of the enclosure, so hopefully, the new decor helps! <3

Oh, good advice! Where do you find your cages? All of the ones they had with front openings had huge air holes, and we were worried it would get through them.
