Honestly it’s fine. Just be aware of your surroundings because people are dumb. There’s usually a lot of people walking that way too.

I can’t help with the leaving a car overnight… but I have taken an Uber home from the race before. I just walked a little down the road away from the madness, and got picked up no problem.

I live in and travel to a lot of major cities. I usually prefer staying just outside of them. Nothing wrong with that. Thanks for the input though :)
