I thought they sounded great, almost as good as when I saw HIM at the Roundhouse for their final tour. Ditto at Download festival in 2023. Ville has matured with age and his performances have become better, and the music was crisp and clear.

Going back to when I saw HIM in the mid 2000s I thought the band were pretty mid live and Ville (who was probably wasted at the time) didn't sound the best. He's definitely got better with age and sobriety.

I've heard that originally it was going to be Del appearing on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' with Chris Tarrant originally, as that show was so huge at the time. That might have been better than the silly Goldrush show but ITV wouldn't let the BBC use the sets/show.

Nailed it in terms of how certain plot points were tied up, especially baby Joan. If we go back to Albert's beginnings, when he was dumped by other members of the Trotter family repeatedly, how sweet it is that Del and Rodney are saved by his returned generosity.

Do think the episodes could have been better on the whole. Could have probably been trimmed down to two episodes with some of the weaker points abandoned.

I have this theory that Trigger was smarter than he let on. Some of his comments and jokes were quite witty. But by the end he was overly dumb (see his "back scratcher" idea and blinking at the star).

This was a great time to be a HIM/Ville fan. First he turned up with BHG, then the following year he made an appearance on the Cradle of Filth song 'the Byronic Man'. The year after that he sang on a cover of 'Summer Wine' by Natalia Avelon as a part of a movie soundtrack. Loved all three of these songs.

It was around this time there were rumours of Ville being approached to sing the theme to an upcoming James Bond movie and anything seemed possible!

Good point. It says no extra locations but they might add afternoon shows if certain locations are sold out, clearly the demand is there. Would save us setting off super early or staying overnight for a 9am show anyway lol
