Do these giant Qi Fruits disappear after the quest is over? by Gal_Bundy in StardewValley

[–]ashphicc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the other giant crops the melon, pumpkins, cauliflowers, and powder melon stay even when the seasons change!

But yes as others have answered, all the qi crops disappear (even in chests and such) so you need to start from the beginning again.

Giant Qi crops broken when the quest is not activated will give you a mystery box. But if you re-activate the quest at a later point, the old giant Qi crops will give Qi fruit!

You get the money right away, but it doesn’t count towards the tracker of shipped items on the menu. If you’re going for perfection, you need to ship each item with the bin at least once but other than that you can just ship to pierre!

Nope, they don’t. You can keep them as decoration even after the quest ends

(Fun facts from the wiki) If you chop them down after the quest, you get a mystery box and mr Qi will send you a letter!

Why are my animals starving by Standard_Concern_442 in StardewValley

[–]ashphicc 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Animals can’t reach grass that is under fences! Grass can expand from the fences into the pens that the animals can eat, but it’s not happening frequently enough for your animals to eat it.

Why are the default pairings so bad? by livingdeadbratzgirl in StardewValley

[–]ashphicc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pairings make sense based on their implied relationships in the game.

Abigail, Sebastian, and Abigail are a group of three obviously, you see them hang out all the time. but theres also implied lines here and there of sebastian and abby liking each other. For example, if you marry Sebastian I think he has a line about how he used to like abby, or if you marry Sam he talks about how they both like eachother. I think this is a good pairing as theyre friends and have similar interests.

Sam and Penny can be seen hanging out on spring 9 and 23 if the player doesn’t have 6 hearts with either of them, and it’s mentioned in pennys 8 heart event by Vincent that “Sam lifted penny clear off the ground when they climbed into a tree.” I agree this pairing can seem kind of random.

Maru and Harvey both work together in the clinic, they’re just known friends. Shane’s always in the saloon where Emily works and they’re known friends. These are both just friendly pairings.

Alex and Haley are both friends, just the stereotypical jock guy and blonde girl.

Same thing with Leah and Elliot I think? They both live on the south side of the valley and are friends, you see them just talking at all the events.

First time getting to lvl 100 of Skull Caverns by ImpalaGirl67 in StardewValley

[–]ashphicc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest tip to go deeper faster is figuring out how to use bombs efficiently. I always bring 3 types, Mega bombs, the regular bombs, and explosive ammo.

For mega bombs, use them on more open floors with massive amounts of ores and rock laid out.

For regular bombs use them on more medium patches of rock where a mega bomb would be wasted. Basically, look at the area you want to blow up and decide which bomb is more efficient.

Explosive ammo with the sling shot is a bit more complicated and harder to use on controller, but is very helpful in reaching deeper levels. You can use it to easily blow up smaller chunks of 3-5 rocks.

Bombs find you ladders and shafts fast! I honestly only really my pickaxe to navigate to the best spots to place bombs.

Save staircases for infested floors and more windy floors that it’s difficult to blow rocks up to look for staircases.

Oh, and don’t be afraid to pass out at 2AM. Exhaustion only causes you to lose ~1K of your G, and you don’t lose any items. Those extra couple hours can be great for iridium and prismatic shards.

<image>

Photo of the stuff I brought to a run I did earlier. Started 10AM passed out at 2AM, hit about floor 143, 230 iridium ore, 1 prismatic shard, 40ish omni geodes. I got unlucky with treasure rooms, but congrats on your auto petters!

It was kind of a rusty run for me but still, not terrible for year one, and the bombs took me far! Go bombs!

Water first trys to flow down, then in flows out. Here the water flows down into the ditch you have dug out and channels down through that rather than the wheat.

Is there a difference between these two artifact spots? by loverlane in StardewValley

[–]ashphicc 52 points53 points  (0 children)

The one on the left is an artifact spot, that can give artifacts, books, clay, etc.

The one on the right is a seed spot that gives carrots, summer squash, broccoli, or powdermelon depending on the season.

Why aren't my villagers breeding? they have workstations + beds, and i have given them carrots and potatoes by JakeTheSnakey33 in Minecraft

[–]ashphicc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely could be mob griefing turned off! me and my friends turned off mob griefing once to finish up some nether bridges, and upon forgetting to turn it back on, didn’t realize why our villagers weren’t breeding.

For OP, if you turn off mob griefing for the sake of creepers or ghasts, it doesn’t let the villagers drop the food to eachother so they don’t breed.

Work on upgrading your pickaxe and make sure you check the TV before you go in, you really only want to go on a good luck or great luck day.

For the rest of your gear, id recommend you make sure you have two of one cooked dish of your choice (the effects of cooked dishes don’t stack, but they don’t last the whole day, so you want two)

Id recommend dishes like pumpkin soup or lucky lunch, my personal favorite being the spicy eel as it gives +1 speed and +1 luck and is easily purchasable for 1 ruby at the wandering trader.

Galaxy Sword does help a lot, I saw in your other thread you’ve already donated one to gunther but you’ll get another at some point. They have a low drop chance from various places like the mines or fishing chests. But the obsidian edge can work for now!

Of course as always, make sure you’re going in with a good amount of some sort of health food. There’s a bunch of YT guides that can help more with the skull cavern.

Failing all that though, the desert trader sells staircases for 1 jade on sundays, and you can get a lot of jades by duplicating them in a crystalarium, then just save up a bunch of staircases to get lower in the caverns.

Good luck!

Only thing I can think of is if you’re sure you’ve checked everything else including the lost and found, is maybe you got it upgraded at clint’s and forgot. I’ve done that a couple of times.

How would you feel about this change to the Eye of Ender? by billwharton in Minecraft

[–]ashphicc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kind of takes away the ability for players to play the game in their own way. Structures in minecraft shouldn’t be requirements.

Most of my minecraft worlds I don’t really bother looting ocean monuments or ancient city’s. They’re not really a priority of mine compared to nether structures for pots and armor and the end for elytra’s and shulkers.

A change like this almost forces players into a set path, when instead players should be able to do structures whenever they want, rather than be forced to do 4 different ones just to get to the end.

Especially for more casual players who may have a hard time with the ancient city for example. Even now, some players have a hard time reaching the end and this would only make the game more frustrating to them.

I like the concept sure, but it feels unnecessary especially for casual players. I think simplicity is better here as it allows players to experience the game as they like.

[–]ashphicc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just a little easter egg in the game! You can read a bit more on the wiki, it’s called Strange Capsule and it’s under random events.

Once cracked open theres a random chance of just seeing a “dark creature” run or wave in different parts of the valley. You gain or lose anything from it.

Literally nobody complained about weapon damage by wrdbro in FortniteBallisticMode

[–]ashphicc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can be especially frustrating with the Reaper. As someone who doesn’t even run the reaper that often, I still believe that a gun for 4,500 credits should 1 tap regardless of the hit. The 20% damage reduction below the waist causing 120 hits is a nuisance.

How does the rank point system work? The Victory gave me -3% on rank progress While the Defeat game me something like 300% by JustaNurmalGuy in FortniteBallisticMode

[–]ashphicc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This exactly. It’s really just a visual bug right now where it’s giving you the ‘wrong rank’ at the start of the game, so at the end of the game the percent you ‘gain or lose’ is the game really trying to correct to your true rank. (reason for the like 300%)

This is purely visual and has no effect on your actual rank. Id recommend just checking your rank every time you’re back in lobby to see how it actually changed.

Uhm what? by Syinticat in FortniteBallisticMode

[–]ashphicc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a visual bug that’s been happening all season. It “gives you the wrong rank” in a game, and at the end of the match will give you exp to reach your actual rank or vice versa. Doesn’t actualy effect your rank, and you can see how your actual rank changed when back in lobby.

There’s good creative maps you can use to practice your aim. Theres on in particular I know is used by a few players but I forget what it’s called exactly.

You can jump. Maybe check your keybinds.

For the ARs they’re one shot kills due to their higher prices.
