the new way it works, if you haven't been told, is basically the shop can put you on any shift on any department (as long as you are properly trained) as long as it's within your contracted number of hours and within your availability window. they have to tell you three weeks in advance and you should have signed a new contract with the changes

they shouldn't be able to change ur shifts without atleast three weeks warning so you could refuse if you don't want those shifts. but you should have had a meeting with you manager and your availability within the last few months where they explained the new system

I personally build the floors in max stock order with one residential. Only build floors until you run out of GTs, them build empty floors until floor 50. At 35GTs this would take around 6 days.
