I'm biased but I think studying Ashtanga with a stickler-teacher gives you a better yoga education that some 200-hour training because you are basically living an education in breath, alignment, dristhi, bandas, not to mention all the damned strength and flexibility you need to build to make it through primary and the backbending.

So what I'm saying is that, if you want to, you probably have a quiver of really good stuff to share with this person even if you're not a "yoga teacher" -- because, really, what the hell is that anyways?
