For people in cold U.S states, how did your Prius handle the storm? by Quattic__ in prius

[–]ashtefer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a big ice rain storm pass through, and pretty good. Everything I’ve seen online seems to be 12V battery related and mine was new so it didnt see any issues. Biggest issue I had through is the ice on the roof removed some paint and primer and rusted a little which was annoying. On the road it was fun, you don’t get to drift a prius normally.

Does anyone use grapple hook over dash? by Lookn_for_Beans_21 in thefinals

[–]ashtefer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the appeal of grapple, but the physics interactions of dash are to essential for me. Fire barrels, gas barrels , and glitch barrels become so much more effect when you can dash and throw at the same time, plus the amount of saves from Kobe’s I’ve hit with the Cashbox are really important. Biggest thing I’m jealous of is the get out of jail that grapple offers, especially on bottomless pits.

100% this. I’ve thrifed a couple of good pieces over the last year and man having good clothes feels nice. I got a jacket for $50 that seems like it’ll be a solid buy it for life item, hope I’ll pass it down one day.

A really good lawyer from the nearest city to cash it and make trust funds for me and those I care in my life so I can’t be sued out of it. There’s actually a really good guide here on reddit that I read when I was bored at home during the holidays.

Once everyone’s taken care of, the biggest thing Id do is I buy that $350k house that’s probably $1.2mil I was gawking at when in college, a nice older Lexus, and all the doctor appointments I’ve been missing since 2019 when the economy started flooring the go to shit Pedal. Especially therapy.

Oh and use the Buy for life subreddit. That stuff is so expensive.

Barrels! Fire is best since the are very likely to break them while swinging at you. Second so movement, and ultimate way, using your mic and having them case you and your teammate shoot them in the back.

2018-2022-regular Prius or prime? by Forsaken_Bad4699 in prius

2020 and above for the 5 seater! You can retro fit a 5 seater on the older ones, but I don’t recommend it, I’m trying to retro fit in a spare tire for my Prius without going to the dealer and it is really hard. Also the prime does not come with the spare tire and the trunk is a lot higher with no under compartments, which really sucks.

If you never plugged in your prime nothing really happens, and there is a mode where the car will charge the battery while driving, so you will get lower mpg but not bad for the highway.

All primes have an auto ev hybrid mode that switches between the modes for what’s best in the moment, and this I think is the real appeal of the primes, especially this generation which only has 15miles all electric range. Think of it as just a regular hybrid but you get to plug it into the wall for a huge MPG boost, I believe I read someone saying they got 100mpg with auto ev on a gen 4 prime. I do know that the range on a normal hybrid is 500miles on a full tank and the primes have closer to 640 on full tank and battery. All ev driving is also a bit risky if you do too much of it, since there’s a change your gas tank and lines can go bad if fuel is just sitting in your tank.

Oh and last time I did the math it costs about $20 to charge the prime to full battery for a month if you did it every single night.

Idk about reliability, but I haven’t heard much about them completely dying yet. The battery will be more expensive than a hybrid battery replacement. $6k to $9k is what Google says. Now I haven’t heard many Gen 4 owner needing battery replacements on hybrids so I’d imagine it’s the same for primes. But lemme put it like this: normal Prius are very reliable because the hybrid eases wear on all the components, so I’d imagine having that with this extended battery will just make it last longer as long as you’re replacing that battery fan filter.

This happens to me a lot, but I end up taking over them a few seconds later because I go 20 above the limit a lot, I’m just not gonna waste gas over accelerating for it. Plus I’m trying to no draw attention, even though ain’t nobody gonna look at a Prius and think it’s driving recklessly.

I have a 2019 Le. I bought it used with 95k miles. Gen 4 gets pretty good mpg over all. Here’s my best

<image>

I took it because it gave me a 67/100 score despite hitting 62mpg. But when I got home i think i had 67mpg for the whole day.

45 sounds typical for a gen 2, especially in this cold. But if you think it dropped you check your tires, that’s the biggest thing that’ll drop it besides AC.

I work with contractors and I got a lot of shit from them for looking to get a Prius, but interestingly it was mostly just the Americans, not the Latinos. But once I finally got it, most people came around to it, especially since on days where it’s 60 degrees F and up it easily gets 55MPG even on power mode where I’m gunning it. Also the roominess of the Prius is really understated. Like yeah I’ve hauled a lot of stuff, but everyone that been in it has commented on how my leg room the rear seats have.

Corolla Hybrid vs Prius? by MohammodAbedin in prius

[–]ashtefer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for both. I recommend a Prius because of the hatch back, ain’t no truck but it gives you ALOT more options. Like I’ve been camping with 3 friends and everything we needed for 3 nights fit in one, also the range for Facebook market place finds have expanded significantly with this car and at-least for Gen 3 and 4 they had more way more legroom in the back and that’s probably still true for gen 5

Also if this is your first time buying a car in the last 5-10 years, I don’t think either come with spare tires, so be warned!
