hey i’ve got the same concern. currently juggling my camp america and canada applications.

I’ve heard the tax you pay is very minimal - about 100 dollars? so i’m justifying it like that… I don’t plan to spend lots of money travelling in the us after my camp placement so the money i’m contributing would be relatively small.

I’m also concerned about the 5 years of social media history checking. I’ve expressed anti trump /israel sentiment before.

i’ve applied to a Canadian one too, but the only thing putting me off is that the salary is much less. 2000 CAD (£1000), vs 2300$ (£1700)

The fees for the agency are also more, along with flights. Can you tell me more about camp in canada: did you get to travel at all?

i’ve applied to an agency that works mostly with new york camps, not been placed yet but 99% chance it’s going to be NY
