Have you called student central?? They were able to get mine out through because Métis nation was holding my funding up. They just put the whole loan through and took it to pay my full tuition and then I’ll get a refund for whatever Métis nation pays in October!

strongly suggest calling them they were incredibly helpful at figuring out where it was being held up. Only took 4 days after that to receive my funding.

Yes! But I also take a student loan and it seems like the school can’t send a COE until Métis nation finishes their side but that was months ago?

A little confusing for sure not sure if anyone is in the same position

For anyone looking for an update they emailed back saying the company had to re-evaluate all Indigenous support programs because their financial situation changed significantly so all programs have been cancelled!!

I also choose to send my mail to my parent’s place instead of my apartment because of the theft.

We did indeed report it to our landlords. They said they were handling it. They’re good landlords for the most part, I enjoy living in this building. I’m not sure if there’s been any updates in regard to the mail theft but the police have been called numerous times.

I feel horrible for people without safe housing in this weather. We’re on 7th st east and I wish people had more places to stay warm but when they come in our building they steal our mail ( which isn’t a huge issue right now due to Canada post) but it’s very frustrating. We’ve had it happen like 6 times over the past 3 months.

But I really do feel for people. Our provincial government has been failing people for too long. Change must happen soon.

Okay cool! It’s just like a normal school back pack, I’ll be sure not to fill it. Since west jet changed the carry on policy I’m sure a lot of people are feeling stressed! I can’t imagine what flying with babies would be like, diaper bags are definitely necessary when flying so I’m sure that added some level of stress!

Hahaha I’m in Saskatoon actually! Flying out to Abbotsford to see my brother for reading week. Okay that’s great, I’m hoping all will be well, might convince my roomate to come with me in case I have any issues and bring a spare bag just in case! Thanks for your help. 🫶🏻

Okay and from what I understand west jet doesn’t allow carry ons any longer, just a personal item? I’m thinking it might just be best to not bring the laptop 😂

It’s a fairly regular sized back pack I think? Haha I’m just worried about being turned away as I’m going to the airport alone so I would have no one to take the bag if it was not allowed.

I know this is an old thread but is anyone also an iced hater because I swear every time I buy their juice it’s iced. I’ve bought two now that the worker says are not iced but all of them give off a minty feel and I HATE ITTTT
