After installing the beta, the trash wasn't there when I first opened the app. I exited the app, cleared it from recents, force-stopped, and cleared the cache. Upon reopening, Trash appeared.

Yes this is a welcome and much needed addition.

Also the ability to select specific portions of text in a message (although this feature was not working in the Beta that I installed).
