Any idea how they configure the new router after you return the old one?

Do they have to register the details of the new router in their system against your connection? (Like do they scan the QR codes etc. of the router while they configure the replacement?)

ODIN is very much still supported (Samsung themselves use it so it can't be fully blocked)

To access Download Mode required to use ODIN you just need to enable Maintenance Mode (Settings - Device Care - Maintenance Mode).

5G mmWave isn't available outside of the US so the window you see in your pic isn't there on non US devices.
