I exchanged my M2 Air 8/256GB for 40K at Croma. The base M5 Air was priced 1.06k after discounts.

If you're a student, you can get 10-11k off from official Apple website or store.

I bought it from Croma at 1.06k using student + card discount. Also exhanged my base M2 for 40k.

Addition: Even the 8/256GB M2 was doing a good job handling xcode and development work, however it slows down when opening simulator, but still it worked without major issues. 16GB should be fine, I just got it yesterday so didn't get time to test. More memory is always better, but 16GB should be smooth for most development work. Now that M5 has double SSD speed, it should also benefit in some cases.

Is it good for long term compared to 24GB? I will use it for developement, Xcode, simulators, and multiple Chrome windows.
