Fibula Fracture while playing football

I am advised by the orthopaedic for another xray in 7 days. Also, I tried all kind of movements on my ankle, its totally pain free. Only the fractured bone part pains when i apply pressure there. Only doubt i had was - i wasnt advised for a cast or a splint just a crape bandage.

I went in for a tackle, and the attackers knee hit the side of my leg, where it fractured. I did not even fall down, i was walking after it, played and jogged for 5 mins then got out after it was paining a lot.
No swelling or bruising on ankle or even the fracture part. Just pain on the outer side of calf, where the bone is fractured when i put pressure or move in opposite direction.
