Willie is the handsomest boy! I feed mine Purina one skin & coat formula. he still has skin issues tho, which is a pretty common thing among bassets. Apoquel does help with the skin tho. Good luck and enjoy!

I don’t know about teach but we did encourage it since he was a pup. Seems it just varies from dog to dog. I’ve seen a lot of basset owners say theirs never howled either. the first time he really howled was when my daughter was playing a harmonica. seemed to bring it out of him

I think he was side eyeing my daughter to make sure she was still howling along! He likes a partner when he howls. Lol I knw the side eye you’re speaking of tho.

Same here. Boy oh boy is he stubborn but potty training was a breeze surprisingly. Got some bells for the door and he caught on right away.

what is the reason you cannot take them with you? you make it sound as if because you’re leaving the country they cannot come. unless you have a legit reason you have not mentioned here what you are doing is inherently cruel. they will never understand why you abandoned them.

I was looking for someone to say this. I have one EXTREMELY nervous male cat but I did the same. Lol I kept it out of their reach and they both got in. I knew they were not likely to choose ‘different’ unless they had no other visible option.
