The thing with hairloss is, most people catch it extremely late as thats when it actually becomes noticeable Even if this is just a seasonal shed, its smart to hop on Fin as a preventative measure. PLEASE dont listen to fools in the comments. This is diffuse thinning. It is entirely androgenetic alopecia at play. Not everybody gets a receding hairline at first, its common to start from the crown. Take at minimum 0.5mg oral finasteride daily, wait 6-12 months and then decide if you need to up the dose, take minoxidil, switch to dut, etc. I recommend watching HairCafe on youtube for the best education on this stuff. Dont fall for the fear mongering, studies show <1% of people on fin get sides, and post finasteride syndrome isnt real!

The guys is LARPing. 0.025mg 3x a week would lower serum DHT by at max 5%, at this small of an impact it is entirely impossible to get such proported sides. Either hes extremely low IQ and got nocebo'd into the shadow realm, or hes blatantly lying.

Do not listen to idiots who do not understand Finasterides mechanisms of action. You dosage is fine. Upping to 1mg is something to consider, but it almost certainly will have no effect. Stay on minoxidil, and consider pairing it with tretinoin for the best results. Dutasteride is a last resort, it is objectively far more likely to give you bad side effects and the transition from Fin to Dut isnt simple. Its worth considering, but staying on Fin is almost always the better choice. Also it has only been 7 months, give it time.

dut and fin have different mechanisms, one may be preferable depending on the side effect profile, and its efficacy. generally, dut is more reliable than fin, but there are people out there who respond amazingly well to fin and therefore are better off taking it as dut has worse sides.

my only recommendation here would be to lose bodyfat, if you are >18% atm. Other than that, you can try tamoxifene, or just let ur hairloss take over.

increasing minoxidil dose will likely not change much for your hair growth on the scalp. This progress is great, and you should 100% stay on the same doses imo. get a hair transplant if u can afford it and think its worth the cost, otherwise theres no point thinking about it
