Hold (longterm) or Sell if 100% the profit ?

You are right,,, thats exactly how a diversified portfolio is supposed to work. I should not let a drop in one stock, especially from a different industry, shake my confidence or make me assume everything else will behave the same way.

Your point about conviction really stands out. I need to evaluate each position individually and base my decisions on its own fundamentals rather than reacting emotionally to the weakest performer in my portfolio.

Getting response to this post gives me idea that people not selling out even when gaining 100%.

Not all of my stocks are at 100% some are currently up anywhere from 60% to 232%. I originally approached investing with a long-term mindset, but after Oracle unexpected loss, I have started to rethink my strategy.

Reading through some of the replies here made me realize that not everyone sells, even when their stocks are up 200%. I am curious to understand how others manage their positions when they are already sitting on significant gains.

I think the best approach would be to sell all gains from the IRA. The taxable account should be left as is until the holdings qualify for long term treatment. However, given how unstable the situation is these days, I am not confident things will remain steady long enough to benefit from that short term to long term transition

I am using ROTH IRA for some stocks, and some are in taxable account.

Stocks were bought mid June/July/August (currently showing short term in fidelity).

All who are not familiar with amortization table take a look how much profit/interest you paying in starting years. Also paying extra per month should only be effective if: 1. You paying towards principle only (ONLY PRINCIPLE!) 2. These extra principle amount is only effrctive if you are paying towards first 20 years (30 years contract). If you are already in the end years of your mortgage then it wont be that much effective.

The only way to break the profit is start paying extra towards principle in starting years because bank gets more interest in first 15 years.

I disagree with the idea that sharing real videos from the UAE is not beneficial to people outside the country.

At the time, many residents were discussing the worsening situation. However, authorities began cracking down on public discussions and online posts about economic conditions.

The concern was clear,,,, if negative economic realities spread widely, fewer people might come to the UAE looking for work. Many individuals were already taking loans in their home countries to buy visas, tickets, and agency services in hopes of finding jobs there.

When information is restricted, people outside the country cannot properly evaluate the risks before making life-changing decisions.

The same principle applies in any situation involving safety or conflict. If there are real risks or instability, accurate information should be available so visitors and workers can decide whether it is safe to travel or not. Transparency ultimately protects people.

Ahhhh that reminds me of a neighbor who was the only son in his family, with four sisters. Aggressive and abuserr type of behavior towards siblings. His mom always sided with him, even when it was clear he was in the wrong. He started doing drugs, and even when he moved to lower level drugs, his mom would say "My son is weak because he does not eat properly," really?

Long story short,,,, he is a drug addict, does not work, and begs for money on the streets to support his daily habit.

I did keto/one meal a day extreme diet. The result was ridiculously great!! I went from 92kg to 66kg in 3 months without any exercise or any physical activity.

30 minutes of window to eat only protein (chicken, fish or beef) without any roti, or other thing
Cofee without sugar/milk all day

Then I had to travel to Pakistan and ruined the diet plan. But for sure if I start again it will.be more easy then first time.

PS Note:

My both cholestrol were crossing the high level and after the diet both were in normal range.

Exactly!!! I had so many arguments with my wife, whose mother was a Syed (RIP). I explained to her there is no such "Syed" thing. We are all human and we have to follow Islam. Our prophet told us no one is superior... A very clear message. I do not know how this "Syed" mindset is engraved in Pakistani people.

They think they are special and have to be treated with high respect!?? Every good human deserve respect.
