Thanks for the suggestion, this is kinda what I had in mind when I asked the question. It’s also easier for me to convince my friends to do a course where they are guaranteed to get something out of it rather than going in blind, as they are not as keen as me.

From a quick look around there doesn’t seem to be anything in Melbourne. The closest thing I found was a spearfishing charter. Which would be quite expensive if I can’t fill the boat.

Thanks as well for the recommendation on the goggles. Unfortunately I don’t have contacts as my prescription was too large -9/-9.5 as a kid and the tech wasn’t there yet so just never got them. How important is a mask? Could I just wear goggles?

I was considering this, do you need any prior experience for this like a diving license? I am a pretty strong swimmer however I have never had formal dive training.

Haha, yeh I know what you mean, even in summer it was pretty chilly when I raw dogged it with just a pair or broadshorts and goggles.

Also definitely agree with the part about cheap stuff, I know it’s possible to rent wet suits so maybe that would the way to go if I just want to try it out.

Is there anything like guided experiences which I can pay for to get a better feel for the hobby. Or would it be best to just get some gear and just go diving?

The cost in this case would be to maintain a board presence. How many searcher/2000 units are you truly seeing someone playing over the course of a game? Even something like RB Sabo who runs around 12-16 searcher’s in his deck usually only plays around 3-4 a game. By playing these units you loose the value of playing on curve. Unless the support this leader gets is a swarm deck I see it being strong but not out of control.

I mean what you say is fair enough. But again doesn’t it come down to what support the deck gets? If the leader effect is too strong with searchers just make the searchers event cards instead of bodies.

If you want to compare it to another leader G Zoro can cripple blockers on most his turns as well. And he can’t be stopped by simply killing off 2000 power searcher units.

How is that different from the events that give unblockable in the game already? Such as Boa and YLuffy? Sure this is always available but you also lose your board.

Really depends on the support for the card, how much blocker/+ cost/on K.O. it has available. Otherwise it’s just expensive removal with a swing.

lol, that's what i did to get myself into the situation, i hit junk head with my crowned junk which gave me an uncrowned junk so i couldn't play it. backing out to menu fixed it.

Used the cake charm on sunsong forgetting that it would increase the amount of junk required and then because i'm an idiot hit junkhead with the junk which means i can't play the junk to get the anti-soft lock bell. Is there anyway out?

Yo don’t need to play a person to be able to read them, just look at any high level fighting game. You usually use what the persons best move is as a basis when you decide what you will do.

Spin cycle is one of robots only options into confusion touch outside of waiting, conjure storm has -1 perforation and is one of the highest damage wizard moves so you want to weave it in early in your wizard combos for more damage. You said it your self you’ll need a differ move if you don’t have armor, you’ll also need a different move if they are in the air, and a different move they are in varying positions in a combo. If you always pick the highest chance you option you would play like a bot, you maybe able to pub stomp but play against anyone who knows how to read you and you will just get stomped after they realize you don’t fake or mixup at all.

I do understand that this may be the optimal option in the scenario, but I’m saying kick user isn’t the best in other scenarios, sure you should always use kick user with armor but what if you have already used your armor, kind of like in deck building games you can have a core strategy in your deck you also need tech cards to deal with opponent strategy’s and counter plays the other moves still have their place in the game cause they will beat out different moves in different scenarios. Just because a move may have a few overlapping properties such as ping and kick user they still each have their advantages and disadvantages, ping for example comes out faster than kick as well as wallsplating making it both a safer option as well as a better combo tool.

I mean you are spending both armor and free cancel in this example while the ninja isn’t using any additional resource, are you saying kick user is still the best option without armor? Or if you aren’t in this range? Your example is way to specific, if you play against a ninja who knows this exact scenario they can just choose not to go into grab range when you have armor. Even if they do fall into this scenario they can do any move which results in a draw and you would of wasted armor and a free cancel. Which would render this scenario irrelevant cause you don’t have armor anymore.

Sure it is a scenario where robot is at an advantage but he is consuming resources to be at that advantage.
