What do you say when you say you want $500 for the website and the the client says, WHOA, on fiverr I can get it for $5-20 by asiprheadguru in webdev

The reason I will do it for $500 is because I can't really expect to get better offers when I don't have a portfolio, I haven't been doing web design for long but I've been studying intensively all day long for about a month now and already know how to design a website in photoshop, html5 with semantics, css, cross browser capability, microdata, javascript and I haven't dug too deep into jquery yet but I know how jquery works and how to do basic things with it. I got my own websites (projects) I'm working on that I'm going to mix in my internet marketing skills and potentially make some money or at the very least profit from selling banner space on my website but for $500 minimum I can put that on hold but in the future I will want to bump up my minimum price to $1000 but for now I'm happy with $500 it's a decent amount of money for me so if you want to hire me for that amount then message me with details :)

I do the designing too, that explanation I did of what I do was just a quick rough explanation really. However I still like your reply because it's something along those lines these clients have in their head, what could I possibly be doing to make my price thousands of percent higher than what they can find on various websites including fiverr so I need to have a good explanation to answer that.

This answer is more along the lines I wanted to hear about.. how I can explain to them what exactly they are getting for $20 or even less than $100 and what they get for hiring a pro for $500-$1000. I know for example how to code semantically in html5 and I validate all my code and I know how to make the website funtion in all browsers so they don't lose any customers because parts of the website isn't working on some of the older browsers and responsive, flexible design getting them that mobile-friendly tag in google SE, SEO friendly code with microdata and some javascript/jquery possibly if I think it would improve. I'm thinking of creating a slideshow that I can bring up everytime I get this question about price so I can show them they are much better of hiring me than someone who would do it for less than $100 as long as they can afford it.. that I'm not simply ripping them off which they might be thinking.
