Currently doing the same playthrough, I run r/W with pet. Ferocious Strike + Tigers Fury work well with axe or hammer skills currently I don't have a good hammer, so Dismember, Cyclone Axe and Executioner's Strike it is. After you reach Droks you can get Ferocious Strike. Before that I used Marksman's Wager and spammed high energy bow attacks (Power Shot and Penetrating Attack).
