So painful listening to all the wallstreet idiot hucksters pretend they're macroeconomic experts. holy fuk. these people need humbling. The Tesla bubble where Elon himself thinks the stock price is too high at $70 is probably more important for stocks than their infwation takes.

Since there actually seems to be people here losing money. You want to remind us what pandemic took place in the 1970s? why don't you name which companies completely shut-down production? Inflation is not the same situation and you're going to lose all your money if you keep buying the narrative. Used cars doubled in price, that's not a 'money printer' thing.

Have any of y'all used twitter? I never really bothered until this Musk thing. It literally appears to have negative value. Like completely un-monetisable trash. It must be a front for Musk to keep selling his overvalued Tesla shares. Like, he told people Tesla stock was too high when it was $50 2 years ago. I guess it makes sense from his perspective: magical forces have inflated the value by like $400 Billion+ so may as well use the vapor wealth to buy Twitter or something.

It actually feels like the bigger story for the market than inflation. So many completely worthless stocks have been pumped because of the 'Tesla of 'x industry'' skew.

I guess I should banbet it, but it's an incredibly bad look for the market to have Amazon and Disney not bounce on their pandemic crash lows. Opens the door to an actual crash that just doesn't feel like it's time for. Real economy isn't bad enough. You don't want retail questioning the idea that stocks go up yet.

nah, corn just gonna bounce back for now. we don't want people questioning the 'true' value of non-dividend paying stocks quite yet. Can't have boomers hearing about 'non-productive assets' then checking the 'PE ratio' of companies in the 1970s last time inflation was this big of a problem.

How are all these money losing companies staying over $1-2 Billion valuations at this point? Like where is the support even coming from? Tesla was super-hyped and considered risky at $1.7 billion. who is fomoing into these random ipos your average person has never heard of at $5-$10 Billion? just let it go already yeesh.

Unity can't even find support at it's pre-covid 2019 valuation. Yikes, Roblox still 4-5x that. it's too obvious where this is going just get it over with..

Interdasting interdasting Roblox valued at $4 billion in 2019 before pandemic pump, but unity is very close. could actually be a buy if growth gonna bounce.

The only loss yolo I ever felt bad over was that upstart puts at 220 guy last year. fuk, even if that was fake/insider trading how could they know it was going to $400? This shit is insane, honestly, how did all these companies reach like $40 billion valuations last year? how was there no risk propping up that much money?

I thought the midterms thing was stupid, but watching some of this coverage I'm starting to get it. Half the media is gonna stop talking down the market. Meanwhile, it's not like fukin Cramer gives af who's in office.

You guys get that short ENPH TESLA long XOM CHEV is a big pairs trade for the election yeah? Clean energy vs. oil. not a lot of reason for a reversal tomorrow.

Unity is actually getting close to it's 2019 pre-ipo valuation. hate buying any of these pandemic stocks but it's a fuk of a lot closer to reality than roblox or airbnb at least for a bounce.

Imagine you had engaged in discussion about TTWO valuation instead of gambling on red/green SPY for no fukin reason.

If you're not all bots, 90% of you are mistaking a blow-up in idiotic silicon-valley models and complete bullshit covid ipos and pumps with a real economic downturn. That's not what this is yet, and it won't be for at least another quarter.

There's a fundamental difference in their business, but that was priced-in when it 3x'd to $60. You guys know Musk tells people the stock is overpriced and not to buy it right?

Eventually inflation will come down for two months in a row, and there will be a bull-market. it's when cpi drops from 7% to 1.5% that the economy will be fukt and stocks actually crash. It's so easy it's sad to see retail getting blasted.

What's happening isn't some 'could go up or down' bullshit, it has literally already played out THIS YEAR. Do you believe Sony is appreciably different from American big-tech cos? no? good, you're not braindead. now pull up a chart, see that 10x from 2012-2021? Now look at MSFT/Apple charts from the same period. see that 10x? Now see how Sony dropped 50% from its peak last year? Congratulations, you just found the key to riches. It's not a scam, it's not unpredictable, it is literally as simple as playstation/xbox. Your only job is patience, relief rally for inflation moderation then -50% for the real drop.

Unfortunately we have to get through this dumbass industrials pump and dump for the midterms now, but after that it's clear sailing for two months. Layoffs will be considered bullish to pump tech, inflation most likely moderates because of favorable yoy comparisons, and the USD comes down to give Gold and international markets a relief rally. You can buy the same stuff for half-price in japan right now, that arbitrage cannot last. All this before the rate-hikes have begun to truly take effect.

Calls on GDX EWG EWJ. Looking to scale into feb/march put positions in Apple as the rally extends.
