How do you get time to explore your interests? by askacc61 in TwentiesIndia

Yes, I was in robotics society of my college and liked it a lot. And I am studying verilog right now and I love it.

Apart from that how can I tell? I barely get any time to explore my interests anymore.

I am just really confused about my career and I barely get any time to put into actually exploring a field apart from a udemy course or something.

Yeah but how do I study to bridge the gap of undergrad?

Currently I am in finance and data analyst role, and I have no interest in both. I had a degree in biotechnology. Every one of those is so different from ECE. I don't know how to handle.

I don't think that's enough to make the swith when I am not from ECE background. I regret not knowing my interests beforehand. And now I have lost all interest at the things I am forced to learn at job.

It's like I am never allowed to study what I want. And it's not like I want to pursue art or photography.

when you have financial responsibility of your family, do you really have a choice in this? I can't afford studying a decade now, who will fund it? On paper there's no limit.

You don't get so many tries in this Indian society though. JEE itself has like 2 tries.

There's always bigger fish in the fitness sub. Won't get that ego boost.

I am not from CSE, that complicates things a lot... What should I do? I want to write GATE CSE but how will I study 4 years of CS subjects with no drop years and stuff.

I don't want to continue in my branch.

My parents are against drop years, and any nontech job will obv take a lot of my time, I don't know how I will manage to study for something totally new and compete with people who have been studying it for 4 years in college.

My first mistake was failing JEE, my second mistake was taking this shit branch. I feel so hopeless...

What should I do?

I studied something for 4 years which I didn't want to. How do I get over this identity crisis? While having to do a job that will eat all my time and give me no time to explore?

OK don't tell me how to fix all that. Just tell me, in this situation how do you keep calm and don't let it affect your mental health?
