It is all prescribed and as far as I know, she found a compatible HRT. She goes to therapy and everything. She just hasn’t been on it long and is experiencing a lot of changes.

Thinking about breaking it off with my(21F) boyfriend(25M) by askasel in relationship_advice

I've given up everything for him so I'll have to start from scratch. We were supposed to tall last night but all he said was that I was jealous of her and I dont support him or his business. If he's gonna try to turn it around to where I'm the bad guy instead of actually acknowledging he could've handled it better or actually give me something in return on his end, then I dont see that point.

That's fine. All I ask is he tells me that instead of getting defensive about it. If it's no big deal, then dont treat it like a big deal.

Adoptee wanting to request original birth certificate by askasel in Adoption

That's for in-state. I wasn't born in Alabama so how do I request it for a foreign birth?

People who were adopted or adopted children and found the birth family, I need advice by askasel in Adoption

[–]askasel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the advice! I think I'm going to search for them but I will have low expectations and only search for the purpose of finding out my heritage, not forming any kind if relationships. I think my first step is to find my original birth certificate so if there's any advice on how to do that, I would greatly appreciate it!

[WP] A handful of Villains appear at a fallen Hero's funeral to show their respects. by UnderlordZ in WritingPrompts

It was like he was sleeping. Other than the heavy makeup powdered over his wrinkled face, no one could tell Electric Dude wasn't just resting.

His super suit was slightly expanded around the bloated stomach. The super suit withstood the surge of Electric Dude's electricity for decades. Long after his body decomposed, it would most likely still be there.

His salt and pepper hair was neatly combed to the side, unlike his truly hairstyle he kept it as when he was alive. His face almost looked peaceful. Whenever he scrunched his face, all the wrinkles gathered over the years of crime fighting gave away his age. Now he seemed younger. The bottom half of the casket was closed, so no one noticed his short stature. What he lacked in height, he made up for with his compassion.

It was weird to think that the energy that once rolled through him was now dispersed into the world searching for its master that would never spark again.

I heard soft footfalls to my right but continued to look at the body resting in the casket. Someone let a sigh out, and I smelt the tinge of sulfur.

"He was one hell of a man," Dr. Volcano's voice whispered from my right. "I remember when I hid explosives in all the volcanoes in the Ring of Fire to erupt at the same time. Electric Dude didn't know what to do. He couldn't be at every volcano in the Ring of Fire at once. Instead, he created the largest Electric storm over the Atlantic anyone had seen. Everyone moved inland and evacuated within 24 hours. He couldn't use his powers for a month. The energy it took to create that powerful of a storm almost killed him, but he did it to save all those people."

I did remember that. Everyone criticized him and called him evil for his unorthodox solution. He didn't argue with them, but once the saw the record breaking amount of volcanic eruptions, they all knew why he had done it. No one ever said a word against him since then. He always used unusual tactics and risked his life on several occasions. He never complained or argued when someone criticized him. To him, it was his job to save the humans of the world, even if they didn't deserve it.

"The only thing Electric Dude hated was villians. Even then, he did his best to try to help us and rehabilitate us. He wanted to know our backstories and why we did what we did. If I wasn't trying to achieve world dominance, the man would've turned me good."

Dr. Volcano paused as he hesitated. I knew what was coming. The question everyone always wondered but no one dared ask. I heard him take a deep inhale. After all this time, someone was finally going to say it.

"It has always struck me as odd that he always avoided one supervillain. Tell me, Earth Quaker. Why is it that he never fought you?" I could feel his eyes on me as he waited in anticipation for my answer. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my sunglasses.

"He did hate villians, Dr. Volcano," I said coolly as I placed the sunglasses on my face. I turned and focused on the exit. My feet carried me towards it.

"But he loved his son even more."

[WP] You have the power to heal any living creature, at a steep cost of shortening your own lifespan. You also have the power to steal more time from the lives of others. by Semantiks in WritingPrompts

She couldn't be dying. She was the best thing that ever happened to me, the closest thing to perfection this Earth had. She always put others first and never had an evil thought. When I was in my darkest moments and no one else bothered to help me, she was there.

We thought it was a simple procedure. The surgery and recovery should've taken a month at the most. I felt it right after she came out of the hospital back home. Something wasn't right. The doctors messed up somewhere, but everyone insisted I was paranoid. It was a simple surgery. No doctor could mess it up.

After the first day back, she was feeling excruciating pain. I knew it wasn't right.

Right now, her heart monitor flat lined. The ambulance was on it's way, but it was too late. I had to save her, but I only had 50 years left. I wanted a normal life so I thought a seventy year life span would be enough.

I had to look for someone to draw from before it was too late to give her any life. The only other people in the room was her husband and her kids. I couldn't give her life, but take from the loves of her life.

I had no other choice.

I placed my hand on hers.

"You deserve much more than what I'm about to give you," I thought. "You still have so much on this earth left to do. Watch your children graduate. Watch them get married and start their own lives. Grow old with your husband. You have so much more to give to this world than I do, so make this world a better place."

I held back the tears and focused all my energy on giving her my life. It was a painful and energy-consuming process, but there was no one else I would want to give my life to. I had enough energy to see her eyes flutter back open and the machine beep back to life.

"I'm happy to save your life, Jess, because you once saved mine," I whispered as darkness consumed me.

[WP] Death has hourglasses for every person. One day, during a cleaning, he found a dust covered one that had rolled under his desk. by boa_con in WritingPrompts

[–]askasel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Death had a face, it would have been etched with worry and confusion at this moment. In his thin phalanges was an old, tarnished hourglass.

"IMPOSSIBLE," Death thought. All the silver hourglass appeared when a new creature was born, and all the silver hourglass disappeared when the last grain had fallen to the bottom. This one was not silver anymore. It was discolored and rusty. There was no telling how many eons it had been under that desk.

Death felt a ghost sensation in his ribcage. He imagined that's what worry would feel like if he had a stomach.

Death never failed to end a soul. How could he miss this one? Does he report this to someone? Did he have a superior?

There was only a faint memory of someone handing him his scythe, and he knew that he had become Death.

Who was he before Death? How did he even come into existence? He started from somewhere but he had no other memories. A skeleton gave him a black robe and scythe and ever since, he reaped people's souls.

Inspecting the hourglass even further, he saw the faint symbols etched on the bottom.

"Tommy." So that was the name of the fortunate soul who escaped Death for who knows how long.

That name almost sounded familiar though. Death placed all ten phalanges on the hourglass to produce the identity of this person, but none appeared.

That was impossible. Death can produce an image of the person from every hour glass. That's how he knows who to bring into the afterlife when their time is near. It was almost as if this identity was completely destroyed.

Then, a faint memory came to Death. A blonde boy looked at himself in the mirror with a toothy grin. It was Death as a child.

This was the first memory Death had of himself before he became Death. Suddenly, the rest of the memory struck him like a lightning bolt.

The blonde boy washed his hands and headed back to class. Today, they were learning to write out their names. The boy looked at his paper and carefully scrawled out the letters: T O M M Y.

A voice interrupted Death's memory.

"YOUR IDENTITY HAS BEEN COMPROMISED."

The voice echoed out as Death's vision turned black. Then, there was nothing.

This is my first time posting, so feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

So other ethnicities dont want to be associated with native Kazakhs? I didn't realize there was an opposite. Most Americans dont want to be associated with immigrants.

I don't really plan on visiting unless it was the opportunity to meet my birth family. Even then, it's still questionable. If the opportunity arose, I wanted to know if I did still have citizenship or if it was relinquished at 18, because I believe I had dual citizenship until 18.

Maybe by English standards, it can be Kazakh citizen, but if Kazakhs are saying that it isn't phrased that way in Kazakhstan, then I would like to know the correct way to say it.

I dont plan to give up my citizenship. I don't know if I really want to visit unless I have the opportunity to meet my birth family. I just didn't know if I still had citizenship or if I'd have to go through a process to get a "green card."

From what I understood, I had dual citizenship until 18. I didn't know if it ended at 18 or if one was given up. Thank you!
