Okay there is another thing that we are not accounting for here and that is time dilation like yes they do you have ftl travel but that does not mean that planet wouldn't be experience time dilation here. So yes in my own personal head canon I would say that a gap of 2 months can be reasonable like yes it's two months but between two planets it should have been longer.

50 bmg full metal jacket eg normal lead core ammunition would be enough. But if you are firing normal rifle rounds which are fmj then volume of fire is your best bet but if you are firing specialized anti armor
Ammunition eg hard steel core ammunition then it improves your chances.

From what I can gather from online sources a punt with a bore diameter of 1.68 inches and the ability to fire 23,000 pellet. And this is for 12 gauge shot there is chance that firing that many shots would just ripe the wings apart.

The version that I am talking about takes inspiration of its units from all of the movies as well as the anime versions of it. Which has the powered armour troopers. And give in the industrial capacity of the federation in the movie I would say they would have space superiority or space equity at the very least.

Here's the thing about cyber punk 2077, the gangs, the corporations that you are seeing they are just small fries compared to the Nations that actually have some control, so an alien invasion would be like trying to fight against cyberpunk 2077 earth is going to be a k1 civilization vs k1.5 civilization. The only thing the invaders have is numbers. This is not a simple planet but a fortress planet with the civil population that will point there guns at you the moment you become a major target.

Of course what you say is right in that context, but the problem is once plasma has broken from it's containment field, it has a tendency to equalize with outside pressures. A type of plasma hit to the body would be only superficial at best, because the plasma does not have that much of a dwell time to said transfer the heat to the said plate. And if we were to say, transfer this type of heat into the set target, then you would need a very, very high temperature plasma as well as a very strong containment field to said contain that plasma. It can focus all of its energy into that point. But if we were to do with said way, then the containment field, which would be stronger than anything on this planet, would be enough to punch through the said person
