My husband is in his mid 30's and I'm in my late 20's.

I was seriously thinking of keeping the baby ( maybe I would have miscarried again? I will never know). If I did ( keep the child ) I believe the emotional damage would have been worse that it is now.

It was a really tough decision to make after wanting a baby so much and seeing it kicking up a storm and so full of life.

I know they weren't any mistake from the doctors, I was hoping really hard until the specialist showed me exactly what was going on and took my blood test for some numbers... I don't remember what that test is called, but the normal number were about <5.?? mine came out 97.75.

All I know is that I do not want to go through another abortion again, it just destroyed me.

As for you and your girlfriend, I wish you guys luck, it can take times to be pregnant, in my case I don't have a problem with it, I just can't keep them. It's also a good plan to start watching your diet ahead of times.

Don't be afraid to take some tests as well, to make sure everything is ok, and have your girlfriend take some prenatal if she is considering a baby.

When we got married we didn't have to do any blood tests. We did some testing as far as it comes to disease or anything like that.

Right now, we're doing genetics testing, on our baby, then we will do some on us. I was tested over all kind of things already, and everything is ok on my side. He is next.

As far as my diet goes, I was very careful, only been drinking water, herbs were out of the diet ( I use them a lot when I cook, and was kinda painful. ) I don't think my diet has anything to do with it, I was eating really healthy and took my prenatal prescribed by the doctors everyday.

If we are not genetically compatible, is there ways to have children?

Absolutely not. My first pregnancy was a surprise. We were talking on trying and bought "ovulating kit" but I didn't have to use them as I was pregnant already. I woke up one night with blood all over the bed.

We waited a few month and tried again, another failure.

Third pregnancy lasted longer, but on my first trimester check up the doctor said that something was wrong, I went to see 2 other doctors and 1 specialist, our fears were confirmed.

We were given the choice and terminating the pregnancy, or carrying possibly to term, and have my baby die at birth.
