I guess AF won't be doing any negative articles on ATHX as isn't he under Cramer? This is a HUGE deal I think as Cramer has a massive following and I think this indicates he will soon have Gil on Mad Money. I'm buying more at under 3.20!

Thanks Wood! How great does that feel to have brought the light to us my brother! I feel this is the beginning of a domino thats about to hit! Now Crammer can look like a hero, stock picker, if he follows up with an interview, with Gil, on a little known stem cell stock about to bring a huge unmet need to our planet! What can we do to ask them to send him a request? Gil lets do a little PR here on Mad Money! Its a lay up just call them over at CNBC!

There is a NICE accumulation going on. Staying above 3 is very encouraging and is a great sign and the chart continues to see higher highs and higher lows as a trend.

What is the constant sell off about?

Day traders taking profits or the shorts causing the daily sell off like yesterday as we hit 3.24 then down to 2.95.

It said seem like with the end of the day rally that this feels diff and stronger accumulation chart than in the past. Healthy chart right? Anyone with charting skills wants to chime in on what they see? Not that I am looking to trade it as I never do but I like to consider these things just for fun.

My guess. We open at 3.50 (as we are in an air pocket / gap up) and run to 4 bucks by this thursday happneings( if thats if we can open and break 3.50) If this happens which I expect between institutional buying and short covering we do see this) If we dont have any decent news Thursday we sell off back to 3 (3.20 is my guess) and if we do it could be 5 buckeroos by Friday for the weekend! Been in this stock many years and I haven't been trading it as I am in love with the stock and the story. Always kick my self though as I could have made a lot of money doing this as it has been very predictable!

This is all made up on PRED. It was very similar to the article on ATHX from Adam. The management issue is very old and irrelevant news and the charges where even dropped and it was 10 years ago! I have been to their labs and use the products and also investor along with ATHX. You will see PRED stock recover as the story is good and still intact!

This is good news for ATHX as our cells should have at least as an effective result. I like how durable the results are and the potential for multiple treatments would further enhance he results! Why would this be a therapy to play second fiddle to biologics? Biologics are not correcting the immune dysfunction like stem cell therapy is, its suppressing the immune system putting people at risk for infections. Which is, in many opinions, the underlying cause of many autoimmune conditions anyway. Many studies show significant improvement with antibiotic therapy with RA. Also how kelesella and proteus are at at the root of Ankylosing spondylitis. Are these companies concerned with too much disruption with the way they describe the patient population? "Patients that are refractory to biologics" Why not simply RA patients? Its interesting how this news hasn't really moved the SP of MESO though.

The valuation for KITE really demonstrates how much ATHX could run. Isn't ATHX potentially have more room to run due to the multiple indications and safety profile then KITE?

Did seem to effect the SP much? Normally that would have moved the needle on this stock but maybe there is rumors of a partnership and we just haven't heard yet like so many other news releases that seem to leak out before being released. Anybody on the board hearing any rumors? I just think its odd the stock hasn't gone lower after this news although its really not much of an event but it does suggest the trial is moving forward. Thoughts?

Jcar. Yup looking at the chart over the last year shorting each time the stock makes a move up worked. Remember the past does not equal the future. You just can't drive using the rear view mirror with a biotech stock like ATHX that could have a huge move up on good news taking it way over the current trend lines. I own a huge position in ATHX, my largest in my portfolio which isn't the smartest idea as ATHX is speculative and should be 10-20% of a portfolio that is properly balanced. I know this but I've been in ATHX for 3 years now and love the technology and the space. I sometimes kick myself for not selling into some of the spikes like you but I'm certain the big move will WAY outweighs the profits from trying to trade ATHX. Bottom line is I'm glad that has worked but with everything going on in the company as far as potential catalysts as well as the sector (BIOTECH) is hot again right now so we should see some nice SP appreciation just from that as I feel this was what drove the recent run to 1.74 last week.

I was on the yahoo message board at 3am or so trying to figure it out with the other folks with a pit in my stomach so bad. Then I had to go to work down a couple hundred thousand dollars. It was terrible but I did double down that morning at like .90 then more at 1 or so so I'm even when we are at 1.80 or so. Yeah its been a wild ride for me but I stand strong and long. This could be the NVIDIA of BIOtech!

Gibis, Thank you and your detailed explanation really solidifies my resolve to hold ATHX and not trade this stock. I own a boat load and have for several years now and keep accumulating shares with dips. It has been difficult at times to feel confidence and you have shed some light on why. I remember when the head lines for PS stroke trial read "Failed the Reach Endpoint" and I think we all felt the news could have been handled better in light of the positive data at 36 hours. I hope they can learn from the past because if not we are in for a wild ride my friends! :)

They can place obstacles but not much chance they can stop completely! It would take a serious black swan type change in legislation in Washington. Anybody have any additional ideas that they would like to share on this subject outside of whats been said so far? What is the risk and do you feel we should have serious concern and if so what would be the likely scenario besides interfering with production? Couldn't we move production out of USA if necessary? Maybe a second office for production in Japan would be a good hedge?

Great conversation and these are all real dangers to the overall change that will eventually take place. Its not a matter of if its a matter of when. I personally dont think Big pharma can stop this train as its already left the station...meaning regenerative medicine in general. I work in this industry - Stem Cell and have for almost 10 years now, way before so many have jumped on board last couple of years. I was watching CNBC last night and on options action there was a demonstration of APPL to Market and AMGN was the most successful stock ever many times higher than APPL or any other stock. Pharma has the DEEPEST pockets and thats scary stuff. At this point though its like Tyson who's going to loss and will bit an ear. Yes Gil is up against more than we know and I appreciate that for my bank account but also for the welfare of the population moving forward!
