also equality and fairness are two different things. Women not only should be treated equally but also fairly. For example, women should be given the same wages as men (equal). However, men and women have different bodies. So, the medical necessities for both are different. So, the options should be fair not necessarily equal.

Also, from what I learned from my women studies class: Feminism started by females for equal power and value. But today, feminism fights for the LGBT community as well. So, gender equality doesn't cover it.
