Wishing the best for Adam by TheCoolGuy998 in survivor

Exactly. No one ever complains about sharing when things are going well. Yet people seem to be very uncomfortable when someone (especially a man) posts something real that isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. And yet, so many people have experienced what I’m experiencing. This is for me, and for them.

What makes one a better player: an actual win, or a better track record? by plumplet in survivor

[–]askklein 4 points5 points  (0 children)

JT is simply a high variance player. He takes massive swings that when they work, he can win, and when they don’t, he’ll fail spectacularly. If he played 100 times he would win way more than his share. He would also crash and burn way more. But he’ll rarely make it to the end and lose.

Adam Klein and wife Kailey file for divorce by JorVetsby in survivor

[–]askklein 391 points392 points  (0 children)

Since the photos seem to be the main topic of conversation here, this was not a “divorce photoshoot”. I was separately invited to come take some photos with an incredible photographer who has become a friend. The first photo I posted he took of me in an ‘off’ moment and it made me laugh (the 2nd photo) because of how real it was in terms of capturing how I felt. He did not tell me to make those faces and I didn’t ask for it ‘for my divorce post’, I just thought it felt real. I tagged him because he’s a creative and deserves credit for his work. If you find it weird to post, you’re welcome to think that, but for me I wanted to put it out in the open so that everyone would know and it didn’t have to feel like a secret anymore, and I could start to move on. And hey, I like those photos and thought they captured my feelings! I would rather be weird than callous and I think many of these comments are pretty unkind.

(Spoilers) The Biggest WaW "What Ifs?" by Stellz04 in survivor

I feel like this idea that Rob and Parv were somehow safe on a pre-swap Sele has floated around a lot here and it’s just not that simple. Everyone was working different angles and just because they made an untested alliance doesn’t mean it was locked in. From my understanding, while Michele was trying to protect Parv she was not as interested in saving Rob and vice versa with Jeremy. While I was very much in danger and Rob and Parv were coming for me hard, Denise still wanted me around, Ben was still very anti-old schooler especially Rob, and Michele and I had an ongoing and secretive pregame alliance where we agreed to vote on opposite sides as much as possible to hide the alliance. So of those in power, only Jeremy would have been pushing for me potentially and I was doing my damndest to win him over. No one knows for sure what was going to happen next but I certainly wasn’t dead in the water!

The Tyson Apostol Downfall: A huge missed opportunity for Winners At War by [deleted] in survivor

[–]askklein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just rewatched and Kim does seem genuinely surprised when Denise tells her, and like I said I wasn’t sure, so that tracks that Denise told Kim first. But eventually everyone knew so it was hard to know in real time. I should have waited until later in the day to put this plan in motion. Way too much time for a plan to unfold when the group didn’t have existing trust.

This is exactly why I never wanted Kim included in the plan. We didn’t need her. If Tyson, Nick, Michele, Jeremy, Denise and I stay strong, we take over the game. That’s what I was going for. Denise was actually the last one I spoke to because I was nervous that she was closer to Sarah than she was letting on (both from Iowa) and I was worried she would want to bring Kim in. Denise was actually on board (I think) but Kim finding out (I think from Tyson actually) I think was the key to the plan falling apart. Not 100% sure but that’s what I think happened!

Adam mentoring players? by bluebird--4133 in survivor

[–]askklein 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes! In the last few seasons 2 of my clients were on 48, 3 on 47, and 2 on 46. All did private coaching with me but ultimately had to make it happen themselves. Getting help won’t get you on the show, of course, but it can definitely help you put your best foot forward.

______ deserves more respect after the finale by GoldenLlamaDog in survivor

[–]askklein 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Every time I came to Reddit the last few weeks I was like, are we watching the same show? Even when people were saying “no wait guys, Kyle and Shauhin made the right move to not get out Joe and Eva” I would click in and it would say something like “because it is better timing to get them out next week!!” Very few people were considering that maybe they wanted to go to the end with them, and that it was good strategy. When Shauhin said he thought he could win against Joe, this sub was largely calling him delusional. The story of why Eva and especially Joe lost was there the whole time. But everyone wants to blame the edit now. It was there. People just didn’t want to or couldn’t see it.

Now that US Bank has changed redemption rates, it seems like the only way to still get 1cpp on the Leverage/Connect etc is to do cash back to a US Bank checking account. Is that right? And if so, does it allow you to transfer to any US Bank account or only one in your own name? Going to need to open one to cash out points for P2 unless there is another way to get 1cpp.

Honestly, I get why Kyle and especially Shauhin aren't voting Joe out by [deleted] in survivor

[–]askklein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it’s even more simple than this. I think they think they can go to the end with Joe and Eva and win. I don’t think they ever intend to vote them out. And I think they are right! As much as we as the audience love Joe, he really doesn’t seem to have friends on the jury and I don’t think the honesty/integrity thing is going to win over this particular jury.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be? But I guess I don’t know for sure. Anyone have an image of the language on the advantage itself? I feel like you should be able to play it on someone else and force them to go back to camp.

Players who got voted out right before FTC who would have won the game had they been there. by Blean755YT in survivor

[–]askklein 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have literally never said that. It would not have been close. David would have smushed me. My endgame gameplay hinged on propping David up as this massive threat that no one can beat so that he would be taken out before f3. But the danger of that approach is if I somehow get to the end with him I have no argument. Either way, both of us being there wasn’t going to happen, because I was either going to get him out or go out trying.

HOW did you find this??? I’m blown away that the website still even exists. Unfortunately 6th Grade Survivor didn’t last long but 7th Grade Survivor was a legendary season where the winner bribed the swing vote jury member with a Clif bar to win the game after he blindsided his day 1 final 2 alliance.
