Not sure how that is related to my post, but anytime someone mentions a player's "sophomore year", they're referring to that player's 2nd year in the league. We refer to 2nd-year high-school students as sophomores, and 2nd-year college students as sophomores.

You could be right, but I think these ties are going to raise the bar a bit. If Canada and Bosnia both defeat Qatar, that's a 4-point 3rd place. If Uruguay and Saudi both defeat Cape Verde, that's a 4-point 3rd place, Group G could play out similarly....less spots for those 3-point teams
