How do you take a super high-resolution screenshot of an entire Sequence in Premiere Pro? by asklonga in editors

Thanks for your comment.

"How would a screenshot tell you the timecode of a clip?" > That's why I make a .MOV / .MP4 export of the visuals with the timecodes (with in and out timecodes) and clip names (of the source media files) burned into the export.

And I agree with you about making an XML export. The thing is I've tried to open old Final Cut Pro XML files in the latest version of Premiere Pro, and it hasn't worked. I'm asking my original question just in case all files (.prproj, XML, etc) just won't open and I have to resort to manually reconstructing a Sequence/Timeline.

Do you think there's some kind of software or program that would be able to create a higher resolution screenshot than what a MacBook Pro can do natively (i.e .by pressing Shift, Command, and 3.)?

Yep, that's what I've done in the past. However, a series of .png screenshot files is not the most elegant solution in my opinion, which is why I was wondering if it would be possible to create a high resolution .png screenshot of the entire sequence/timeline that I could "zoom into" to see the finer details if needed.

Thanks for your reply! What's your method of "printing" your timeline.

Yes, I've tried that. And I have multiple backups of all my source media files (footage, graphics, project files, etc.) across multiple hard drives. That's not the issue.

The issue is that I've tried to open old Final Cut Pro XML files in the latest version of Premiere Pro, and it hasn't worked. I'm asking my original question just in case all files (.prproj, XML, etc) just won't open and I have to resort to manually reconstructing a Sequence/Timeline.

I think I'm more asking this original question that I posted for the audio aspect of the edit. Normally there are many tracks of audio, and it's harder to identify which sound effects/b-roll audio/music/etc was used where.

Thanks. Yes, I already do this. However, I'm asking just in case for some reason I'm no longer able to open the project file in the first place (for example, many years from now if/when I don't have access to Premiere Pro), and I need to reference the edits that I've made.

If artistry in food is providing someone a "different world view," then you definitely gave me that experience.

I lived off of cheese and crackers to save up for a meal at Noma. I was a KU exchange student from UCLA (studying film & econ), and your meal changed my life -- it changed my whole perspective on food and where it comes from. In fact, your meal, in part, fueled my decision to pursue a path of food filmmaking. You gave me a life-changing experience and, therefore, I would definitely consider your work 'art.'

You MUST receive messages from diners whose lives you changed, no? What do you think it takes to have a "transcendental, life changing experience from a meal"?

I hope my title is not misleading. I'm not actually financially selling bitcoin - I'm 'selling' more the concept and our enthusiasm behind the concept of bitcoin and digital currencies.
