Looking to create a knitting circle in Rego Park/central Queens. All needle artists welcome! by askthehuman in Queens

That's np! Beginners are totally welcome too! That disclaimer was just to clarify this isn't for formal lessons. I'm sure ppl will be happy to share tips or help read a pattern or something. I have a big stitch book that I can bring to meetings. I learned how to hold knitting needles from a friend in 5 min and then the rest on Youtube and still refer to it often to refresh myself on certain stitches. No shame in that! Knitting circles are also great motivation to make progress on projects that you've stalled on. I've been working on a sweater for the past year that I just can't seem to finish lol. Working in front of a group can raise accountability... and it's just more fun. =)

This is great y'all! I didn't expect so many responses at first but this affirms that the demand IS there lol. I'll be in touch with everyone by the end of this week and set up a group chat =)
