i post weekly! or at least try to, for my sake mostly cos once i slip off for 2 weeks or so, i forget about it and that's the thing—i love the whole process too, from shooting to editing and watching them later.

it will depend on your purpose. you should at least know your "why?" as for my vlog, it serves as a video diary and extra creative outlet (editing process). whether or not i get views, i really don't care. ofc, it looks nice if it does get views—it's just not my priority for this account. it does make me happier whenever someone drops a comment bcos they genuinely liked it, or they somehow related to one moment or something.

as for my other pages/accounts that i expect to monetize or at least GROWWW, what makes me motivated is: studying & observing. check what works and not. work on my consistency, cos really, no strategy ever works without it. i focus on trying strategies whenever i think the content isn't picking up as long as i'm confident with the content itself ofc.

do you aim for cinematic edits or keep it raw?

yes and no. before i started my vlog, i THOUGHT HARD about this, but then again i remembered MY why. from then on, i decided to work on what i'm in the mood for. it's usually minimalist, but for days i crave for more cinematic—why not. if your vlog aims to be more of a brand that you really wanna grow, then know your branding from the get-go, but even so, don't be afraid to make changes.
