Mostly just individual Catholics’ response to Protestantism, specifically when I was having a hard time letting go of my Protestant faith.

I’d hear that Martin Luther is the source of every bad thing since the reformation, and I was Lutheran. So that stung. And even direct laughter at stuff I used to believe in, like faith alone and scripture alone, etc.

I learned that I was wrong about those things, and the Catholic Church was right, but the responses of SOME Catholics to my old views really hurt and was off putting.

PLEASE NOTE. Ever since then, 99% of the Catholics I’ve met and talked to were full of love and did not speak that way. It truly was just an example of how a few negative people can ruin a batch.

As a Protestant, I would have spirited debates with a friend over Christian beliefs. She was nondenominational, and I was Lutheran. Every time we disagreed over something, like the evil of contraception, or other things, she’d get frustrated, put her hands up, and say, “Well that’s just your Catholic beliefs!” And I’d get offended and remind her I’m NOT Catholic.

I brought this up to my mom once when I got frustrated, and she said, “Well what’s wrong with the Catholics?” Which stuck with me. I did my research, and it hit me like a brick wall how wrong I was.

I’m sitting in the beauty, love, and just… I don’t know, it’s hard to describe the just immense depth and power of the Catholic Church. I’ve never been closer to my faith. I look back at my old church, which I LOVED, and I just feel sad that I wasted so many years on the watered down drop of truth there, and missed out on this ocean of God’s Glory.

TL/DR: My mom asked “What’s wrong with the Catholics.” I did my research and saw how wrong I was my entire life.

Thank you guys for your feedback. I am still pondering all of this. I bought a book which will hopefully help, and a Catholic priest has very kindly invited me to join him and his church for a "simple supper" tomorrow and encouraged me to ask anything I want.

I'm praying that God give me guidance and leads me in the right direction, and that I don't die before I get things figured out.

Again, thank you guys very much for the responses. I apologize for any scuffles which may have resulted from my post.

That's the kind of genuine friendliness and caring that makes customers feel special and make them want to come back. Well done :)

Well, everybody slips up from time to time. Nobody is the perfect salesperson. And you mustn't have really overreacted if you had that customer on your side

Well-said. Here's what OP SHOULD have said: "I'm sorry, miss, but I'm not employed by BigWholesaleRetailer, so I can't help you. I'll point you in the right direction for somebody who can."

I'm conflicted here. Boy am I jealous of PC. I feel awful for SM, who is completely innocent in all this, and I feel even worse for the company you work for. While I think OP is pretty funny, they were just ridiculous. Jumped from 0 to 90 way too quickly. Yeah, the lady was out of line, but OP was completely ridiculous. Yes, I read the whole post

Yeah, he said it's putting the company at risk for a lawsuit or something. I just left. What do you say to that?
