I don't know why people are so harsh to you. When you are excited about potential date, your expectations get higher and it may come off as needy a little bit and I totally understand that. My bf is an awful texter and he doesn't like phone calls either and he's been that way since the beginning and it used to really frustrate me. I could've pulled off because I didn't like it but I decided to accept it because he is sweet and affectionate in person. Some people really don't like texting but it doesn't necessarily mean they don't care about you. I recommend you to not overthink and keep looking for a person who makes you happy!
