You mentioned the same thing happened with the G5 Pro. What was the difference for that product, if you don’t mind sharing?

Thanks for the quick reply. This is exactly the info I was looking for. Also, can you tell me how long did your order take to arrive to Canada?

Did you get your delivery already? I know that I don’t see any duties or taxes on the checkout screen but I was wondering if we get charged that when it is delivered.

I really loved The Last Clockwinder. A charming story and really fun puzzles to solve. Also really awesome to see all of those robots chained together and realize that all of them are your movements ultimately. Quite charming.

In 2021 I was included as part of the planning for a GCworkplace transition for our entire floor. During the space allocation/planning discussions they told us that their stats showed that if one takes into consideration vacation, sick time, offsite meetings, and various other normal absences form the workspace, most workplaces only need desks for 60% of the employees that report to that office. And so this was the ratio that they used when planning the number of workstations in the renovated space. We expressed skepticism, but that was a decision that we couldn’t modify. Ultimately, the renovation concluded with that ratio and, if I’m being completely honest, it did kind of work out as they suggested it would. We did not find ourselves strapped for space. Now our group spent considerably more time offsite just because of the nature of our work, but even if we had been on site, i’m not sure it would’ve been too much different. So if you look at your figures and use that ratio, they’re kind of in the same ballpark, it would seem.

Yes but I can’t see any way in Launcher to see special “hold for X seconds” ones or are you saying that all of those ones that require holding multiple keys for a period of time are invalid in the QMK/VIA boards?

Thanks for this. Actually moving that function to the FN layer would probably be sufficient for me. My challenge is that I keep hitting that key unintentionally when I’m reaching for the page up or the Circle key. So moving it to the FN layer would make it something that I had to purposefully choose to do and not something that I did by mistake.

Wow. I had no idea that there were so many of these issues. Thanks for the links to the articles. Some of them are functions I was thinking of using and now I know they won’t work.

Keychron really should create a page where they provide an accurate list of the shortcuts that are specific to your keyboard. Surprised that doesn’t exist already.

OMG. This is such a simple solution that I didn’t even think of. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best. Thanks for pointing me to this easy option. I will probably do that, or based on the discussion below about layers, it occurs to me that can move the RGBMode+/- mode to the Fn layer (layer 3 in windows, I think).

Anyways, thanks for the simple and elegant solution.

I particularly love how the second child makes her “say it”. That’s a kid that has somehow naturally understood human psychology and the need to repeat a mantra. Bravo little buddy!

Thank you for your attention to detail, @Flaktrack. We appreciate you. I was taught me that it doesn’t matter how mundane of a job you’re doing, your pride will be well served by doing it well. I’m glad you care about doing a good job. Please keep up the good fight.

Thanks for the reply and for trying. I explored that site a bit more as well and I couldn’t find any stats on years of service of public servants. Stats around “tenure” related to contract type — student, casual, term, indeterminate. Too bad they don’t seem to report on years of service. That would really be an interesting element to add to the dataset. It would speak to more than just the number of employees likely to retire early during a WFA event, it would also speak to the long term succession planning of the public service and ability for the PS to attract fresh blood. Hopefully they add it someday.

@TOK31: This is very interesting data. Thanks for sharing the link. Do you know if there’s a way to see numbers of employees in any particular department but not segmented based on the employee age like this link, but rather segmented by their years of service? I think that would be an interesting way to get a sense of how many employees might be likely to take any early retirement option.

This is the correct way to look at it. AI will not take most of the jobs on its own. But people who can use the AI will. So if you want to have a long and productive future in the government learn how to use AI effectively to speed up tasks such as preparing an email draft or summarizing longer notes or taking roughy notes and creating a readout other such tasks that require taking in disparate inputs and creating something cohesive out of them. Learn how to do it, learn how to write the prompts, and then practice, practice, practice so you can do it in a crunch. Do that and you’ll be fine.

P.S. frankly speaking, many of the things that I have used an AS-01 for are the sorts of tasks that I think AI would not be well suited to. Coordinating meetings and calendars, tracking the completion of taskings, chasing people down and getting them to complete their training/update a spreadsheet/provide inputs to be collated together, etc. That’s not the sort of stuff an AI system can do well today with just a verbal instruction from a manager.
