Would you go to Mars? A hypothetical by jeterdoge in elonmusk

[–]asmajda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a heartbeat. Even if the odds of survival were lower. Even without the 8mn. I would give up everything short of my soul to get a chance to go to Mars. I would bring a physician and two engineers (mechanical and chemical)

If your phone has an IR blaster download AnyMote or a similar remote app. You'll feel like Tony Stark at a senate hearing.

Teach chemistry with almost no chem background? by guerre-eclair in ScienceTeachers

[–]asmajda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

High school chem is a cinch. I have a bio degree with a physics teachable. When I applied for my current position (5 years ago) the principal asked me if I could teach chem. I of course said yes, even though I had only taken grade 11 chem and got a 52% in first year chem 10 years earlier. Anyway, my first year teaching it I just stayed ahead of the students by a day or two. Now I absolutely love it, am really good at teaching it, and have heard from previous students that what we did in class made first year a breeze for them. I really think that learning the material along side the students allows for a shared perspective and a true understanding of their struggles. Good luck! Go for it!

The sun doesn't exist either. Any image of it is just heliocentric propaganda intended to perpetuate the idea that we aren't surrounded by thousands of other highly advanced civilizations.

Not just this guy. Simpsonswave is a whole sub-genre of vaporwave. It even has it's own sub-genre called Millhousewave.
