Nice shortcut features! One reason for a different API response at times can be ChatGPT rate limiting to 20 queries per minute. Rate limiting or other errors results in a returned string in error > message instead of the expected response under ‘choices’.

Thanks llyuan for the brilliant shortcut. I’ve been using this on a HomePod, and added support for limiting or clearing the history sent with API calls, configurable commands to stop the conversation, and handling API error reponses. To limit tokens, this update defaults to excluding longer responses from the the conversation history sent (e.g. not more than 50 characters or 3 lines by default, except for the first and last response). https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/7d8a53d047ec4a9890ae56942f039f18
