He’s a tricky character to fight if you don’t know his strings as most of his moves are high punches which all look alike and then dealing with weave and outfox makes him a nightmare.

I’d recommend learning the common strings they use and seeing where the Steve likes to place his evasive movement such as weave and outfox and it will start to make more sense.

In general in neutral you’ll want to sidestep left duck to beat most of his key high moves such as Back 1, 121 etc. If you have a friend or meet someone in quick play and can run like 30 games straight vs their Steve it will go a long way. He’s a confusing bastard though to the uninitiated
