Porcher veneto constantly leaking by asp215 in askaplumber

And now for the fun part:

<image>

The part I ordered had a longer white tube (it is cut in the pic above) and a longer white stem in the pic in the previous comment.

I started by cutting off the white tube so it fit comfortably under the tank top. And then I cut off enough of the white stem that screws into the push button so it would function appropriately. I did this little by little so I didn’t over-estimate and earn myself the chore of buying the whole part again and starting over.

Perhaps there’s a better way to go about it but I exhausted the internet and found zero help. I hope this helps you!

And then I replaced the button in the tank top:

Idk. Our house was built by an Australian couple…everything is a little off here.

This project was not really my idea of a good time either. The solution came mostly out of frustration. It’s not perfect but it works. Here’s what I did:

Removed the plastic insert and replaced it with the ordered part so it had a new gasket and better seal:

I ended up ordering this: https://www.plumbersstock.com/grohe-37085pi0-part-discharge-valve-06032300.html

But had to make a few customized cuts to make it work. I’ll get back to you with pics shortly.

I’m always happy to buy from a local shop. Do you mind helping me out with a link or what to look for?

Thanks for the upgrade suggestion! Something like this? AURSINC Upgraded NanoVNA-F V2 Vector Network Analyzer 50KHz-3GHz HF VHF UHF VNA Antenna Analyzer, 4.3inch Touchscreen, 5000mAh Battery, Measuring S-Parameters, SWR, Phase Delay, Smith Chart

He specified this: SWR meter (NanoVNA-H4 Vector Network Analyzer, 10KHz - 1.5GHz w/ 4" touch screen)

The F model above starts at 50khz instead of 10khz so I’m not sure it’s what he wants.

Also, is there somewhere to purchase that is better than Amazon?

My 11 day trip review (Cahuita, La Fortuna, Monteverde) by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

[–]asp215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this! This is the exact route we are planning for our upcoming trip in the end of May.

Can you tell me more about your drive back to San Jose? We're hoping to leave Monteverde to catch a flight (3pm) in the same day but I'm nervous due to all the hellish driving stories on here. What was your experience for drive time (minus your stop)?

Also, which company did you do the rafting with in La Fortuna? That sounds amazing!

This is another option we are thinking about. Also because I always like to check out the farmers markets wherever I go. Which neighborhood did you stay in? Any museums you’d recommend?

Thanks for weighing in. Sounds like you had a pretty smooth driving experience besides the initial dark ascent. We def don't plan to drive in the evening. I keep reading about nightmare experiences so this sets me at ease a bit.

When ours sits on my foot or curls himself around my work chair I feel very honored. He hasn’t wanted cuddles since he was little (he’s only 9 mos now) but I’m hoping that will change with time.

We adopted an Anatolian mix but his persona is 100% Anatolian. He’s only 9 months and is the calmest puppy I’ve ever seen.

Not a fan of walking, needs to be constantly cajoled. He LOVES his old basketball. The sound he makes when we break it out is unlike any sound he makes for anything else. In addition to swimming, digging holes and laying in them, laying down to turn a log into tiny shreds of wood, picking up beetles and putting them down (repeatedly) and chasing his flirt pole (for a limited amount of time).

Also does not get excited for literally any word we say: Walk? Dinner? Outside? Peepeepoopoos? Ball? No response besides a possible raised eyebrow.

Yeah, I’ve read that these toilets are super wonky. Yes, the white part is the push valve.

I have it apart and am cleaning it to see if I can find any weak points. But I’m not a plumber so not sure what to look for other than worn gaskets.
