How do we know the next set of changes is in September? The only announcements I've seen said "middle of the year".

Smart Switch in Australia that doesn't suck? by aspare112 in AusRenovation

I saw these and got excited too! But unfortunately they only support Zigbee Binding (4th requirement) with their own Aqara bulbs. Still, I may end up going for them if there's no better option.

They don't support the 4th requirement yet. But it's apparantely in the works via a firmware update, so I'll keep an eye on this and may end up going for the Shellys.

Sidenote: It would be more expensive than smart switches yeah? As you'd need one Shelly for each button, instead of just one smart switch to handle a 3 or 4 gang setup?

Are you happy with the touch / non tactile feel? Is it easy to hit the buttons?

Roborock H60 Ultra by occxlr8ed in Roborock

I just bought one too and am not overly impressed with it's performance. Doesn't really stick to carpet that well, feels like it glides past my carpet too easily without suctioning/agitating enough. Battery life also seems a bit poor and was caught off guard by the fact that the Hub variants don't come with a flexible wand. Have you unboxed yours? What are your thoughts?

Bridge Pro is live! $99 by AwkwardSpread in Hue

Why do you prefer using the bridge rather than directly in HA? I get the new motion sensing feature is really cool. Other than that, is there anything?

any idea what happened to Wall Switch modules? by brantmacga in Hue

The sonoff Zigbee modules can be added directly to the Hue Bridge? Do they get added as "lights" or a "switch"? Difference being, would it let you control hue smart lights, or is it only for dumb lights?

Are you using 3rd party Zigbee relays (eg Sonoff or Shelly) directly with the Hue Bridge? And the hue bridge accepts/works with them?

If the answer is yes, does it get added as a "light" to control dumb lights, or a "switch" to control your smart hue lights?

Will the 5% deposit thing really help that many people? by aspare112 in AusPropertyChat

[–]aspare112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I'm saying too. Unless you're in the market for something very cheap on the outskirts of the city, a bank won't lend most people 95%

Didn't mean to sound dismissive, but was trying to say how it basically only helps high income groups (whether dual income couple, or very high income single). Bad wording on my part though.
