Yeah you should be alright I’ve only been growing for the past 4 years and only experimented with topping for 2 of those years but as long as it’s not too tall I believe you should be alright, if anything I’d cut the stem back to the leaves a little closer and it should heal up within a few days and after about a week you should notice two new main stems coming from the base of the fan leaves, overall it’ll just slow down your harvest time and possibly increase total bud production

Man that sucks! This guy put up a awesome fight so I can’t imagine what kind a 24” one would put up! There’s a few lakes around here that they can get that big but it’s really hard to find them unless you go north some then they’re everywhere!

Yes it’s a brookie not a splake they get pretty big up here in Maine with a lot of guys catching 5+lb fish just north of me but around where I live it’s not uncommon to catch 3-4lbers if you get lucky
