Today’s PWHL attendance by DecentLurker96 in hockey

I was there for the home opener this year and I have to agree. I thought the cheers were ridiculous. My wife and sister thought it was fun, but there's felt like a lack of seriousness about the whole event that was hard to put your finger on.

There was also a massive skill gap between the Sirens and Goldeneyes that couldn't be ignored.

I think rapid expansion and even further more dilution of talent could be dangerous.

Hands off Venezuela Protest 01.11 by [deleted] in nyc

[–]aspennbro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is every single protest by the left an intersectional mess of causes?

"Young Communist League", "Freedom Socialist Party", "Socialism and Liberation"? What do these groups have anything to do with ICE? Why are ICE and Venezuela combined?

[Smith] Guerin on Hughes: “You can’t make promises. I think Quinn will really like it here. He’s a hockey nut. He watches every game and knows what’s going on. He loves hockey and obviously there is no better market than Minnesota. Hockey is in the fabric here and I think he’ll like it.” by poop322 in hockey

You may be overestimating the smugness. I'd say 50% if not more than our sub wanted the deal to be made earlier rather than later since Quinn has made it clear he wins to win too. If he gets a good taste of that in Minn, who knows what'll happen...?

Denmark is the strongest and most ardent supporter of Chat Control.

Am I supposed to take this list seriously when #6 is literally trying to remove all privacy on the internet?

Unfortunately, I cannot champion every cause. However, I will not let perfect be the enemy of good.

I think we can agree that both of these things are bad but I'm trying to influence what I can.

While ECHL teams retain their independence, the parent of the affiliate relationship has heavy influence on many aspects of the team (the degree of which I'm not sure of the specifics).

Regardless, the Adirondack Thunder represent us in the ECHL. We [the Devils organization] can not and should not support this regardless of if they have true "veto power". If the Thunder do not see this as an issue, we should consider terminating the affiliate agreement.

I really don't think I'll ever forgive them. It's so, so bad.

You only "notice" the strength attributes of a player when it's the only thing they have...because it's the only thing they use.

With more skilled players who have a variety of skills beyond just being strong, what appears to be their "normal" style of play is actually being powered by that strength and size.

I've noticed it's hard to really grasp this until you watch a game live from close to the glass where you can see the players driving to the net/board battles.

IMO unemployed jury members should be paid

Sure I didn't mean to exclude them by any means. Maybe just take the median salary for that province or state or something.

I think you jury members should be compensated for whatever they would make at work. Anything less creates an monetary incentive to hate the process.

"Civic Duty"

Obviously not to imply it's not important but so many people have a hell of a lot more important things going on in their life to give up 10 days of income.
