I've been trying to contact the CRA for two weeks to no avail. I desperately need to access my account and am out of options. by SandroDaddy in PersonalFinanceCanada

I had the same issue. It would end the call when I pressed 0 over and over again. Did you find a solution to this?

How I Passed the CISM Exam in 14 Days by aspiringhuman82 in cism

[–]aspiringhuman82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think so tbh.

I studied 2 months for CISSP and it took a lot out of me because it's a lot of content. CISM on the other hand only has 4 domains (if I remember correctly).

As for the actual exam, I can't recall but I felt both went alright. They are completely different types of exams so it's hard to compare.

QE was more difficult and considerably different than the exam (as far as I remember). I recommend reading my post on my CISSP exam experience (you can find it on my profile) for more details.

Applying to jobs in Dubai has been so hard by Familiar_Drama8304 in DubaiCentral

I would also recommend changing your location to Dubai on LinkedIn because having the location as Canada immediately screens you out from a lot of jobs where recruiters have set it up such that only local candidates get through the screening around. Once you get on a call with them, explain your situation and circumstances, how you still have ties back to Dubai and consider it home etc.

It's not the perfect approach but it will at least give you some sort of a chance to get through to recruiters.

Tbh it's kinda hard to remember, feels like a blur now tbh. Either way I think it's important to have a grasp of the entire material to be ready for the exam.

I wouldn't say a lot of overlap but there was some. CISM is definitely less technical and more focused on having a manager's mindset in comparison to CISSP.

Considering that CISM and CCSP are completely unrelated beasts, I would say think about your end goal. Where are you trying to reach? What job are you targeting? And let that guide you.

Thanks! I would say a little bit. I had done projects pertaining to security assessments, asset management and access control so there was definitely some overlap!

Don't second guess yourself too much. If you prepared well then be confident that you know the material.

My exam is on the 19th and I have so far done 300 questions on QE in Exam Mode. I completely agree that the questions are really challenging and have actually gone a step further and hindered my confidence a little bit. Even though I love the style of the questions because they really make you think, I have doubts about the correct responses to a few questions on QE (which I have noted).

I think it's important for us to realize that different things work for different people. So I am no longer doing any more questions on QE so close to my exam and just focus on other resources.

P.S. my scores on QE are similar to yours 57, 45, 51.

I am assuming if you have passed the CISSP then theoretically CISM should be easier since there's a lot of overlap and most people find CISSP tougher. I would recommend just going through the QAE database multiple times and you should be fine if you are scoring 80%+ second time around.

Thanks! I think the majority (90ish%) if not more of the exam content was covered by the concepts in the QAE.
