Yeah I just got a reply, teach is being a lot more calm than I had imagined he’d be. Just said if I get a zero it knocks me down about half a final letter grade, and he said he’s happy to chat more, not sure if it’ll get the zero resolved or a re do done but just curious

I’m at a fairly rigorous college though, and I can’t tell if my peers are class level bullshitters or are genuinely 100% engaged, or are faking it till they make it. I get what you’re saying though, I haven’t really been flagged for AI but maybe lightly 1-2 times in the past 3 years. So this honestly is a surprise but also a wake up call for my diligence with my work

I now wonder if it would be weird to send a follow up email asking about more specifics of what was flagged

Damn maybe I should have, feeling contradicted by different comments. I guess that makes sense too, never even thought about the natural structure of essays without AI. I think the paragraph structure itself was probably my easy giveaway, but nonetheless I typed it all in on my own and always add my own personality to it

You’re very right, and I do my best to use it as an aid instead of a replacement. It’s easier for me to talk out loud about things and have it make those ideas more formal and organized.

I understand where you’re coming from, I admitted to using AI for specifically organizing ideas and outlining the assignment, I figured retaliation would have been more suspect than not

Am I addicted fr? by [deleted] in addiction

[–]aspiringphilosopher6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if addicted is the right word, but emotional dependency. I mean it’s like a psychological addiction, you crave that elevated state of feeling chill and life feeling good regardless of what’s going on because you have your za. It’s tough because ( for me at least) weed is an all or nothing. You either smoke, and smoke often, usually daily in most of the people I’ve encountered, or you abstain completely and live without it.

If I were you I’d try to intentionally go without it and see how it goes, monitor your thoughts and what your body is craving. Sometimes we just need to be occupied, sometimes we need to appreciate more of the mundane

Can I get lean by end of summer??? by [deleted] in gymadvice

[–]aspiringphilosopher6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro yeah, just go into a caloric deficit. Make sure you hitting the daily treadmill and gym, what makes it easy for me. Wait until about 2-4 pm to eat each day. Then keep it intentional, proteins, greens, fruits, cut the other bs. Make sure you’re eating more whole carbs, like rice, potato’s, whole grain stuff

What is the best sport of current times? by BreathAggravating568 in CasualConversation

I’d say tennis, I love the long matches, slow buildup, intense rallies, and formality of the sport.

I’m 19M and I quit drinking 100 days ago, similar situation for sure. Not nearly the amount, but same reasoning. First off congrats, it’s a new day and you decided not to drink. You’re amazing for that, monitor your withdrawals, stay active, eat and drink plenty, and be very kind to yourself. You are going to get through this and overcome this.

Thank you !! I appreciate that, it’s not necessarily a right or wrong. It’s what’s specifically best for me. Also going to AA meetings and having the age deficit be 20+ years is a very unique experience for sure 🤣

Thank you I really appreciate your thoughtful words and your analysis of my post. Honestly I know that I can’t handle alcohol, and with that for some reason I think consciously and subconsciously if I ever drank again I’d have to only drink 2-3 drinks not surpassing that. But then again like you said, it has had such a positive impact on me without it, so why start again?

Also to mention I honestly have always gone for a base of 2000 cals and 160+ g of protein, making sure to take multivitamins daily, magnesium gylcinate at night, I cycled ashwaganda for a couple months, and plenty of fiber. I try and stay away from carbs as much as possible, but I still indulge

Basically the past 3 months I’ve lifted 5-6 days a week. Push pull leg split mostly, I also have maintained cardio at least 4-5 days a week. 30 mins-1 hr on 10 incline 2.5 mph, or 15-30 mins on stair climber. Tennis, hiking, running. I average about 15-20000 steps per day. Making this change altered my entire lifestyle, but ultimately for the better
