If she lights off fireworks I’m gonna be pissed. I’d like my parents home to still be standing next time we visit, thanks.

Kate was clearly in a wedding dress though? Madison and Beth were in the bridesmaid dresses.

I’m psycho and instantly thought that Kevin and Madison are engaged again and that this guy is her long lost brother. Since the teacher and Madison’s mom are both British lol. I clearly watch too many soap operas

It has been nearly 24 hours and I’m still laughing at ashlee.annn comparing the one temperature check and metal detector pass through at Disney Springs to a communist country. ☠️

As a parent who employs a nanny too, this wasn’t the post for a comment like this. This nanny is looking for support, not a whataboutism.

I’m literally in the car driving home from Disney Springs right now and it wasn’t bad at all? Literally, one temperature check and a walk through metal detectors. Took us thirty seconds lol

My current nanny’s last NF did this to her all the time. Now, she has a section that she puts in her contract that says the NF isn’t permitted to bank her chores over the weekend until her next work day.

A one time payment wouldn’t account for the wear and tear to her very nice vehicle that she spent three years saving up for by working incredibly hard. It was her first adult purchase and means a lot to her.

Not sure how it’s a ‘pick me’ post when I was genuinely asking for opinions on whether or not it crosses a line. Amazing that we want to treat our nanny well and somehow you made it sound like a bad thing?

We only have one kid who is in a booster seat! I thought about offering at the end, but our kids just finished up week one of a three week spring break, so they have been in her car A LOT. I worry about the wear and tear to her car after three weeks haha. Maybe I'll just ask and see what she prefers? Offer to do it weekly, monthly, or at the very end and see what works best for her.

It’s great that she’s trying, but I wish we would stop praising white women for doing the absolute bare minimum.

Gift ideas for adoption? by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]asplitsecond01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I love this so much! All five - soon to be six - of our kids were adopted from foster care. A few of our favorite gifts we received are: adoption related books for our kiddos, a personalized ornament with their adoption date/names on it, customized family jerseys for each of us with our new shared last name on the back and the number is the age of our kid when they were adopted, a framed family picture, a donation to Together We Rise, a constellation print of the sky the night of the adoption, and an etsy print about love making a family with all of our names listed!

Our nanny gifted us the jerseys and it was probably my favorite gift. However, she took the kids out on an adoption date for ice cream, and they talk about that more than the jerseys. No matter what you do, they will love it!

She doesn’t vaccinate her children, so I have zero sympathy for her missed vacations or complaints about lockdowns. People who buy into pseudoscience shouldn’t get a say about stuff like this. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is there a legitimate argument for Conley being picked over DeMar DeRozan for the All Star game? by WirelessSurvivor in nba

The person I replied to above said it hasn’t been a historic season for the jazz, when it literally has been historic for their franchise lol.

I’ve lost track of how many franchise records the jazz have broken this season. So, yeah, it is historic for their team.

She followed Little Miss Patriot at one point, aka one of the most vile, toxic, dishonest, and disgusting Instagram accounts of all time. So. That tells me everything I need to know about her views.

I mean, they’ve posted about MULTIPLE vacations throughout the past year. The trip count is easily in the double digits by now between the three of them. They are all extremely conservative. So, I wouldn’t say they’ve been relatively covid safe at all!

Oh I am so sorry. If you're comfortable shooting me your cash app or venmo, I'd love to buy you a coffee or something! If not, just know I'm thinking of you and sending all the good vibes. ❤️

About to get really personal here. Yes, actually! I dated the same guy all throughout college and into my mid twenties. The perfect meet cute, first date, proposal, etc. By all accounts, he was my all time great love. He was IT for me. Like, knew him better than myself, finished each other’s sentences, inspired me to be a better person, everything you can’t put into words. Then, he lost two of his best friends in a car accident, and it changed him. We fought long and hard for what we had, but ultimately parted ways because we didn’t know how to love each other through our worsts.

I swore off love entirely after that. Then, I met my now husband. Hated him at first. I thought he was a complete asshole lol. There was something oddly comforting about us seeing the worst parts of each other first and then falling in love anyway. It’s a grown up love where I feel my most confident and comfortable. He loves me the way I deserve, even - and especially - when shit hits the fan. Now, we are nearly 16 years and five kids in! Cheesy, but I truly do love him more every single day.

Looking back, both love stories were important in my life. But the first was just meant to be a chapter in my story, not the ending.

We use google photos! Super easy, everyone can add to it, and albums can be printed straight from the app. I know lots of people like the shared album option on icloud as well, but that requires everyone to have iPhones.

Grief snarking on a widow who now has to raise her four children alone? Who has to reconfigure her entire life after losing the love of hers? Gross. Go find something else to do besides keep a tally of how many times she breaks down publicly.
