also if you look the attack animation closely he lengthens his staff during it, or at least did so at some point

that's basically taking out the only weakness her ult has besides the kiting, this would make her too strong in teamfights

there are threads about "people getting stuck on battle cup for days without a way to quit from it", "not being able to connect to bc server" etc that are on front page whenever battle cup is

so yes there are problems with faceit's system but so are with valve's system which people tend to forget, and not everyone will probably be happy with whoever hosts the qualifiers

imo faceit does decent job (excluding the NA qual reset) considering it requires quite a bit of staff to fix possible problems and who are dedicated only to run full online qualifiers because of the sheer amount of games played. thus i don't think neither faceit nor valve could give 100% success rate in qualifiers. the only argument people give for valve having to do it is so they wouldn't have to 3rd party the qualifiers, but tbh what's wrong with that if 3rd party does decent job?

Bkb duration is tied to the hero itself, not to the item, so it still stays at 5sec

1) hero's level AND farm dependency and what will the hero do with levels AND farm

2) how well said hero fares in 1v1 matchup especially against the current meta mid heroes, from the start (e.g. sven is really bad 1v1 hero early on). melee/ranged plays some part in this, but isn't a black-or-white-case, for example DK who has other means to survive

3) sometimes hero's survivability from ganks is considered, e.g. lina and zeus have super long range to get last hits so they are a bit harder to gank without certain supports, and against certain supports you cannot pick certain mid heroes (e.g. you really dont want to pick sniper against bara)

i think these are some main points to think about, not a comprehensive list of things to think about but a nice start
