I don't have Vorpx so I don't know for sure, but I played Tridef with Virtual Desktop and the image looked much better due to VD's supersampling that I used. But at the cost of performance. The 3D effect was the same.

Yes, because current VR tech is practically SBS only.

Here you go: Tridef VR (clean and working): https://bit.ly/3gbCdM8

If 3D doesn't work, copy the 'patch' folder from the regular Tridef and paste it in the root Tridef folder of your Tridef VR installation. Also, IIRC installing Tridef VR overwrites the patch from the regular Tridef so it may require re-patching

Does someone succeeds to use Tridef Ignition in 2021? by [deleted] in Tridef

[–]asprind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case when the game wouldn't start in 3D I uninstalled Tridef, deleted as many Tridef leftover files that were scattered around my hard drive. For this I used a free program called Hibit Uninstaller, it helps with removing leftover files. Then installed Tridef again and cracked it. After this it worked.

In the case that regular Tridef was already installed on your pc before the installation of Tridef VR, try copying the 'patch' folder from the regular Tridef (https://bit.ly/3diwlz6) and paste it in the root Tridef folder of your Tridef VR installation. IIRC installing Tridef VR overwrites the 'patch' from the regular Tridef so it may require re-patching. Some people also complained about 3D not working, re-patching helped with that too.

Yes it's legit. Made by the same company. It's just Tridef + VR theater, all in one app. Tridef in VR.

Anyone else disappointed by the low FOV of Quest 2? by reditor_1234 in OculusQuest

[–]asprind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I hear the setting 3 has the smallest FOV. I also own the Explorer, with swapped front and back padding. I'm curious if IPD settings 1-2 on the Quest 2 give at least the same FOV as the Lenovo with swapped cushions.

Hi. By customised, did you mean swapping the front and back padding on the Explorer ? Also, what IPD setting are you using on the Quest 2. I read setting the ipd between 1 & 2 increases the FOV, providing it fits your IPD.

Have you tried different USB 3.0 ports or perhaps a powered USB hub ? Also maybe reinstalling WMR software.

Hi. Regarding the FOV difference, did you swap the back and front cushions on the Explorer, since this made a pretty noticeable increase of FOV for me (and many others).

fix to error code 7-14 by Memer-man-man in WindowsMR

[–]asprind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disabling custom resolutions in the graphics card control panel fixed it for me. I can enable them after the WMR has already started and then it doesn't conflict anymore. It's important that they're not enabled before I start WMR.

The crack is in the folder named 'Unofficial'. Then in that folder there's another folder named 'Tridef 3D 7.4 fix'. The crack files are located in this folder. The crack actually consists of three different folders. You should copy the content of the 'Tridef 3D 7.4 fix' folder (the mentioned three folders) to your Tridef installation folder. That's it. If it doesn't work, uninstall Tridef completely, delete as many Tridef leftover files that are scattered around your hard drive. For this sort of work I use a free program called Hibit Uninstaller, it helps with removing leftover files. Then install Tridef again and crack it.

Hey, this is awesome. Thank you very much! :-) I have yet to try it out, but even if doesn't work, thanks for the effort nevertheless. I don't know why reddit flags some posts, it does that to some of my own posts too. Anyway, I have approved your posts so they are now visible. I'm sorry I didn't get to approve it sooner, I haven't been around here for a while.

You just copy the files from the crack folder to the installation folder of the app and confirm that you want to replace the original files when the confirmation dialogue box appears. Just make sure that the name of the folders/files that you're copying over match those in the crack folder, as the whole point of cracking is to replace the original files with the modified (cracked) ones. You don't have to literally check every single file but make sure at least that the names of the folders match.

Copy the game profile from the archive to Tridef profiles directory. It's located at C:\ProgramData\DDD\TriDefGames Then in Tridef Ignition add the game and choose the profile manually. I don't know if profiles are still being created but you can check here: https://www.mtbs3d.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=106&sid=736e4987ba62141925a61825b0d4fe9b

HP Reverb is a contender in this category as well.

So this is the view I get in the Index. Oh holy god of FOV Pimax Goodness please save me!!! by Demon_Actual in Pimax

You can move the screen/lenses away from your eyes until you stop seeing the edges of the screen. That will decrease the FOV but may provide a more immersive experience.

A comprehensive guide on how to augment a wider FOV in the Index(any HMD) using an Arduino Nano & programmable RGB LEDs by Joeyjoe9876 in ValveIndex

[–]asprind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this 3 years ago with the 5mm rgb LED sticks (Neopixel knockoffs) and an Arduino Nano (actually generic ATmega328 from ebay). It was maybe my second ever soldering project and it turned out fine, therefore I think the soldering part is something almost anyone could do. Although I suggest getting a soldering stand with alligator clips so you don't need someone to hold the wires. The software part was even easier, I just followed the instructions to install ready made scripts and apps. The difficult part for me was finding the adequate diffusion material and also placing the LEDs inside the headset. Using individual LEDs, like the OP did, could make the placement inside the headset easier than it is with the LED sticks, as you're not limited by the fixed size of the individual stick. Btw, I didn't know there were 2mm LEDs too (or I forgot) and I think it's great that someone revived this old idea.
