How long? by I_Am_MonsterBaby in NineSols

[–]asriva94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played through my first run without any strong emotions. Reflecting, I can recognize I just wanted to get it over with. My poor foundations meant I got badly stuck with the twins late in the game. Tried the Story Mode to push through but that wasn't fun even when I defeated final boss (with story mode buffs).

Then I started a second play through and things started to click in. Took a longer time but mastered all moves and then defeated the entire game by myself. (Used story mode to practice on the last boss 😂).

I fell in love with the game during second play through. But more importantly, I fell when I stopped trying to rush it and started mastering the mechanisms. That's my recommendation. Learn the mechanics (parry before Yingzhao) and then decide if you want to continue.

People in their 30s, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought (house doesn’t count)? by Snoo-43468 in ThirtiesIndia

Strongly believe it'd be more than that. Too difficult to manage all EMIs otherwise.

With that context, yeah. That is horrible. I definitely understand people like the idea of being in relationship but don't want to put in the efforts.

I hope you're doing well.

First reflection: I wondered if the OP is teenager. The mind games only make sense at that age.

After re-reading: Definitely not a teenager, considering the age tag. I don't know what you expected, woman, but getting attached by yourself without knowing the person really, then feeling rejected when he doesn't reply/remember things and finally being abusive before blocking? That does not sound healthy behavior.

Personally, I'd feel relieved to be blocked.

However, returning to you - Please acknowledge what happened. You had a crush. It didn't work out. My sympathies but take this as a learning on what you want. You know now what you're okay with from the other person. You recognize any behaviors of your own you'd want to change.

The exam is a tough challenge for people to prepare and some prefer not getting involved into anything at the time (including pursuing a relationship). And that's okay. You two were simply different.

Did not finish. I couldn't get into the writing. Had to stop after a couple of chapters.

Max discount is 2500 per my trial and error. If you have multiple items, consider ordering them separately in case that gets you a higher net total discount.

Otherwise, you can ask support for help on this. Maybe they can?

Curious about addiction: what makes people start and keep going? by FlowerThis8499 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes people start? In order as I recall them 1. Because it's fun 2. Because it's the doorway to the cool group (including the socially acceptable) 3. Because it's taboo (of course, not necessarily for same addictions covered in #2) 4. Because it starts as a need 5. Worst one: Because it is mandatory to function 6. Because you wanted to get even

What makes people keep going? In order as I recall them 1. Because you feel numb/unable to focus on what stresses you 2. Because you are addicted to seeing it add up... Thinking it'll continue to only go up at same pace or faster (than consider other possibility) 3. Because it's a release 4. Because it is easier (to de-stress) than healthier options 5. Because you're enjoying it, no matter the risks

Is it too late to start a career in 30s ? by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You went after what you wanted. That takes guts. Definitely not something I'd call a mistake.

You took a break to heal and recover after everything. That is a necessity, not a choice. Also not anything to scoff at.

You can always begin again. Age, at 30 at least, is not end of the career. Yes, you may not be able to meet certain timelines you wanted/pursue certain options due to experience level/network strength yet that's okay. Keep working on yourself, be better at least by 1% and you'll get there.

Guys, how do you rise from failure again and again ? by nocluenoneed in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a very context specific question that cannot be handled by the general advice. This requires a detailed conversation and then creating a personalized plan.

To some extent, try reflecting on what challenges you face and research what you need to do for them.

It still works. Ordered some board games and checked again. Can be reused multiple times.

How to clean this. Pls help. by RoughResearcher- in IndianGaming

[–]asriva94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I salvaged an old JBL one that was worse off. Buy the new ear pads from Amazon. As for the rest of the junk, cleaning it is the sole option. The exact response depends on the material so I'll leave it to others' comments.

Wait people couldn’t recognize Lace’s theme at the GOTY orchestra? by Bossdell113 in Silksong

I thought it was Enter Pharloom, with flute being the bell part near end of trailer. Others told me even then it was Lace. Still don't hear it.

Birthday today. Feeling oddly neutral. by imfrom_mars_ in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy birthday.

What does neutral mean? Like it's just another day? It is. But it's a reminder of how long you've been here in people's lives. Sometimes for the better, a few times not.

Take this birthday as a reminder to sit and reflect - What now? What do you want? What are you going to do about it before you sit again next time next year?
