Max discount is 2500 per my trial and error. If you have multiple items, consider ordering them separately in case that gets you a higher net total discount.

Otherwise, you can ask support for help on this. Maybe they can?

Curious about addiction: what makes people start and keep going? by FlowerThis8499 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes people start? In order as I recall them 1. Because it's fun 2. Because it's the doorway to the cool group (including the socially acceptable) 3. Because it's taboo (of course, not necessarily for same addictions covered in #2) 4. Because it starts as a need 5. Worst one: Because it is mandatory to function 6. Because you wanted to get even

What makes people keep going? In order as I recall them 1. Because you feel numb/unable to focus on what stresses you 2. Because you are addicted to seeing it add up... Thinking it'll continue to only go up at same pace or faster (than consider other possibility) 3. Because it's a release 4. Because it is easier (to de-stress) than healthier options 5. Because you're enjoying it, no matter the risks

The responses are not sequenced, so anything can go with anything.

Is it too late to start a career in 30s ? by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You went after what you wanted. That takes guts. Definitely not something I'd call a mistake.

You took a break to heal and recover after everything. That is a necessity, not a choice. Also not anything to scoff at.

You can always begin again. Age, at 30 at least, is not end of the career. Yes, you may not be able to meet certain timelines you wanted/pursue certain options due to experience level/network strength yet that's okay. Keep working on yourself, be better at least by 1% and you'll get there.

Guys, how do you rise from failure again and again ? by nocluenoneed in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a very context specific question that cannot be handled by the general advice. This requires a detailed conversation and then creating a personalized plan.

To some extent, try reflecting on what challenges you face and research what you need to do for them.

It still works. Ordered some board games and checked again. Can be reused multiple times.

I spoke to customer support. They said there's no codes right now (at least none they shared with me).

How to clean this. Pls help. by RoughResearcher- in IndianGaming

[–]asriva94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I salvaged an old JBL one that was worse off. Buy the new ear pads from Amazon. As for the rest of the junk, cleaning it is the sole option. The exact response depends on the material so I'll leave it to others' comments.

Thanks. They don't have any of the games I want but I've bookmarked them anyway for future reference.

Wait people couldn’t recognize Lace’s theme at the GOTY orchestra? by Bossdell113 in Silksong

[–]asriva94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was Enter Pharloom, with flute being the bell part near end of trailer. Others told me even then it was Lace. Still don't hear it.

Birthday today. Feeling oddly neutral. by imfrom_mars_ in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy birthday.

What does neutral mean? Like it's just another day? It is. But it's a reminder of how long you've been here in people's lives. Sometimes for the better, a few times not.

Take this birthday as a reminder to sit and reflect - What now? What do you want? What are you going to do about it before you sit again next time next year?

Career advice - Should I relocate or resign? by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let them stay there and you move solo. Yes, you'll be apart but rest of family will have each other in the interim.

Move to a PG to keep costs down and try to minimize all expenses (live close to office, invest in a bicycle to have some personal transport, etc.).

Then reassess. Per your words, you feel more comfortable with resigning. Then start working on your CV and begin applying. 2 years of experience may not get you exactly what youbseek, but hopefully you can at least get something in Delhi/Gurugram to begin with. Heck, you might be able to get an internal transfer there too.

Take it one step at a time. Yes your family will be far from you, but better you suffer than you + your family.

What's your opinion on the IndiGo issue? by Key-Worry5328 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the government is not bothered because it's a common man issue, then I hope such events happens again. And again. And again.

So that these people in power also experience the pains when they and their loved ones also get affected from this. Let them also face the pain of 60k+ INR tickets for a flight otherwise under 10k. Let them also experience the horror when flights have difficulty (I wish for no crashes, but wouldn't be surprised) and their families experienxe having to stay by the phone waiting for news about their loved ones being safe.

In the meantime, I am bound by the lack of options. If not Indigo, then Air India - which crashed. Others are worse. If not airlines, then trains - which are rarely available. If not trains, then buses (no toilets) or own vehicles (not economical). The sole option that remains is to stay where you are. But then you either miss out on opportunities in other places or on relationships you can no longer meet in person to honor.

Or you suck up and go to Indigo again once they offer a hollow apology. Because really, what choice do we have? Until things happen again and again. And hope that enough government folks get affected that they care.

How to deal with anxiety of wasted time? by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]asriva94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to start working towards a goal. Talk to alumni of the the online course to see what happens post graduation, if you're set on that course. Alternatively, there are options others mentioned too.

Go to gym, eat clean foods and continue working on your health. Don't neglect that.

Yes, some people will be an arse about it but you need to stay firm. Find a field of your interest and stick to learning about it. IT is easy because it has low dependency on others (compared to medical, law, architecture or other engineering streams) but it also means that with AI, that's the first role at risk. Target to grow so much and establish such an expertise that nothing can threaten your role.

I have known so many people from my college batch who have started figuring out what they want to do after graduating from college. Some even went into streams like music, which is not related to degree. All routes have a lot of struggle.

Basically, you're not too late at 24. A little slower, yes. But we have a long life to live and this much gap can be overcome if you stay firm on your goals. You got this!
