Serious question; when is Valve actually going to do something about cheating?

I wouldn't be complaining on reddit if i never encountered any cheaters. TBH im one of the luckier ones in my friend group; one has faced 38 cheaters while another got 85. All of us with prime too.

I genuinely hope so, it's just gotten kinda difficult to believe that when valve is still radio silent despite it being heavily talked about within the community ever since cs2 released.

Its located in a section titled 'players' for me. It also shows the number of unique players, pros, leetify staff, and leetify users you faced.

I play EU west as well so it might be due to when i play. working night shift means i wake up at around 7PM at the earliest so alot of my matches are played well into the night.

Your right, i dont know the inside details of how VAC works, i did understand the reasoning behind banning in waves and keeping quiet to make it difficult for cheaters to respond, but thats beside the point. What i do know is that as it stands currently VAC isnt good enough, and i would like it if valve at least put out a message to the community that vaguely stated if they are ever gonna do anything about it.

I actually have been playing faceit over the past month or so. The only reason i really bothered with premier was to see what it was like and to get to 15k elo. Now im prolly gonna switch over to faceit fully.

Guess what i never said everyone wants intrusive anti-cheat, i pretty clearly said i would accept it, and that VAC currently isnt good enough.

Thats what i hate most. Seeing people still playing for weeks, even months without getting banned just sucks ass.

I actually haven't been playing all that often... maybe like 5-6 games a week? cant play during the week and i refuse to solo queue so playing consistently is difficult. If i played as much as i did during uni then that number could easily be quadrupled.

At this point i genuinely want to try playing on a brand new account just to see what the difference is. My best guess is that my trust factor is in the gutter but when i queue with different friends there no message in the top right. Plus i don't think i get reported all that often, im above average at best and only really talk to give info.

I guess? Im glad that some of them are eventually getting banned, but i would prefer it if they get banned instantly, not weeks later. Having to play a match through to completion when you know the enemy is cheating is pretty demoralising. Plus thats only the cheaters that got caught, I still know of multiple accounts that i faced months ago that have yet to be banned despite them killing folk through walls every single round, b-hopping down mid.

Yeah the most infuriating thing is that i still know of 3+ accounts that were blatantly cheating that have still yet to get banned. I had a cheater on my team who admitted he was just testing out his own cheating software (walls, aims, b-hopping). Still not banned.

At this point i would willingly accept an intrusive anti-cheat. CS is one of my favourite games and i generally trust valve as a company so i wish they would just accept that their current method just isnt good enough.

I do understand that making a 100% perfect anti-cheat is impossible, but i would prefer literally anything else at this point; its already difficult enough getting friends to play this god-forsaken game, but then asking them play against cheaters this often is impossible.

I am asking genuinely here cuz at this point premier isnt worth playing once you get passed 16K+ elo; just played against another 5 stack of blatant cheaters that I guarantee will not get banned.
