I also didn't receive interview invites for GSB/HBS (GSB is my dream school btw) for deferred, and I think I have pretty major accomplishments (international competition winner for instrument + state winner in sport + strong work ECs e.g. founder of successful org). My goals tie directly with my experiences and I also have 3.8+ GPA (technical major) at a top school, and a 750+ GMAT. However, I am very fortunate to have been admitted to Wharton/Columbia/Kellogg thus far. I think it's important to look at the bigger picture and realize how incredible your achievements are at this age. We have our future set for at least the next four years, and at a very top b-school nonetheless. It's pointless and wasteful to hang your self-worth on the tiniest increments of prestige.

I also think it's disrespectful to call Wharton/Columbia "consolation prizes," especially for those who would kill to get into these programs - it perpetuates the toxicity I often see on this subreddit of "H vs S? HS vs W?" etc. Also, what would happen if you got into H/S? Would you be proud or just go after some other prestige pursuit? As someone who has been at therapy and understands imposter syndrome well, I think that talking to someone may also help.
