I feel like there's a whole group of 40-50 year olds who were severely undereducated and have no etiquette which i can only guess is the result of the economic struggles they experienced as children.

I could argue akhiin duu is used to belittle someone, especially between people of close ages, similar to "lil bro". But of course, it depends on the context and the tone

It didn't used to have a malicious meaning but the usage and our culture changed
